Hey - I've only got about six weeks to go til i'm officially off the market.
Only one problem we can't agree on a song to play when we sign the registry.
Any suggestions would be most welcome - it's in a park not a church if that helps.
PLEASE - he wants to play i was made for lovin you by Kiss - that can't happen - SAVE ME !!!!!!!!

acey I like the way you think..lol.. I was thinking maybe G. Love's "Willow Tree" I always thought that would be a nice song to play at a wedding. I will keep thinking for ya hon, we can't have that kiss nonsense on you special day. One more thought, Bob Marley's "Mellow Mood".

Are you talking about when you enter the reception? If so, we played Soul Bossanova (Austin Powers theme song) as our entry song. We got alot of positive comments from it, but I live in a place where everyone usually plays the Ohio St fight song.

I don't know about for the entrance, but a good song to dance to with your husband is "woman" by John Lennon, it is truly touching. Another is "you got a friend" by james taylor.

You could definitely play "Give It To You" from The Hustle by G Love. It is a new song and has G Love and Jack Johnson. U cannot beat that. I suggest playing some sort of Led Zeppelin if you dont wanna play G Love or Jack Johnson.

i don't know why i didn't think of it before, but jack pairs up with mason jennings and they do a beautiful song, "ballad for my one true love".. tho it might sound a little pussy to your man compaired to kiss lol
"thank you" by led zeppelin is also a great song, like mentioned.. i know a guy that's very much into LZ, and thank you is his song for the girls lol

Sorry to leave it all up in the air like that, but i haven't been on line for a while. It's been a hellish couple of months, i'm a student and have just had my exams, works been a bitch, one of my close friends passed away unexpectedly and on top of that i still had to organise the rest of the wedding!! So sorry for my absence, but i didn't have much choice.
Anyway, Mr. Louweezles and i are now officially married. And thanks to your suggestions, some persuasion and bribery, the day was a totally Kiss free environment. A friend of mine played thedidgeridoo asi walked down the'aisle' (length of grass). Then we played a song as selected by my official wedding planner RAMBLE ON ROSE Willow tree. Thanks Rose i owe you a beer or something!?! I convinced Mr Lou that henow likes GLove soooo much that he chose to play Love directly after. Not bad brain washing on my behalf!
Anyway the day was great and there was lots of other good tunes played at the reception which was a very drunken affair, but funnone the less. Thank you all again. If anyone needs any wedding tips i'll try and help....but Rose is your girl!!!smileys/smiley2.gif

Hooray!!! for you and me. Many congrats and blessings on your union!!! I am so glad I could help you and in a tiny way be a part of your special day. I just think that song is so great and it really says alot, to me anyway, about what it means to be one, mind, body, and soul. "Let us sing together, water over the pebble, and I'll stand by your side forever." Not to mention a nice little bass solo by jimi jazz. Glad to also hear your day was KISS free, it sounds like you had a very lovely day.
