Thanks, yah, I am workin on the singing... hopefullyI can get some lessons out of my friends mom..(she teaches singing at a college).
Anyways, I just used my computer and used a program called audacity to do the recording, which is free to download, and I got an adapter so I could put the input from my guitar right into my computer. As for the mic.. its an old radio shack mic that I scrounged off an old karaoke machine we had in the house and used the adapter for that input as well.. the program does all the mixing but it comes out pretty clean
Workin on some more recordings and multiple songs right now, i'll post em when I finish and see what ya'll think, thanks for the feedback

My guitar is an acoustic electric, so I can plug the cable into the guitar and I got an adapter that changes the 1/4'' Jack into a 1/8'' jack that i can plug into my computer's sound card, which has an input slot... the adapter is like this... http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&am (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&product%5Fid=274-366) p;product%5Fid=274-366
hope that helps

Hey good shit. Nice little melody you got going on there. Question, I hadn't done any recording on a PC before, but reading over and listening to your post made me check into it a bit. I DL'd that audacity, and had to DL some other "lame" file to convert to mp3. Problem I ran into is I may have done something wrong in obtaining that lame file. LOL Know what I mean? What the hell am I doing wrong?

haha I had the same problem.. I was never able to use audacity to convert to mp3 format, so instead I justused aduacity to convert it to .wav format and then used "itunes" player to convert it to .mp3
glad you like it! gonna work on a new recording of it today,I have changed some things around, mostly guitarEdited by: SamHaga

Good deal. I'll keep at it, you too. I'll put my chit up as soon as I figure all of this out.

Hey! listening to it now...it's actually some pretty clean
guitars...i'm guessing you plugged them in...assuming that is an
acoustic, you'd get a better sound with micing it and a touch of
reverb. not bad for some early stuff (in my oppinion)...i think the
melody could use a little tweaking to strengthen the "hook".
keep plugging away!
