okay, guys, here it is. the only thing that's left to do is the matting and clean up some of the rubber cement. otherwise its finished. im going to post a link again because the file is a little large for just posting. hopefully its large enough to see the detail. i hope you guys like it cause ive worked really really hard on this thing.

oh yeah, i forgot to say that all those tiny lines were cut from color-aid paper too. i was gonna ink in those small detail lines but my instructor decided to break my heart and tell me that it would look really great if i cut them out instead. and he was right.Edited by: LipstickVogue

ooh, ragmop, i just remembered, if you wanna be like the "cool kids" you need a duct tape wallet. im gonna make a g.l.a.s.s. themed one just for the fun of it. I was friends with this banded called ozma before they broke up and I made this sweet lookin wallet just for the hell of it because i think making things like wallets and aprons out of duct tape is neat. especially now that they make different colors of duct tape. okay, so that was random and a little off topic, but i just found purple tape today and i got some more blue so im all excited. alright you guys, the piece is now matted, and the final critique on it is tonight. wish me luck. ive taking this thing around like its a baby - showing it off to everyone with pride but freaking out and being over-protective of it. i would ball my eyes out if it got destroyed.

well, i got an A in the class. the critique was one on one with the instructor. he just gave me this speech about how im more artistic rather than a designer, and that im confident in being expressive. he said he loves that about me. it was a really short, successful critique. thanks for all your support.

Its really up to you. I mean Im sure G. would be thrilled just to see a pic and be happy he inspired you... but I know he would also love to see/have the orginial. But if you keep it, you have something no other GlaSs fan has... which is special b/c you made it and designed it.

that's true, but i try to look at it like this: he obviously puts so much of himself into what he does, the music that inspired me in the first place. and i put a lot of myself into that piece as well. it seems sort of half assed to say "here, G, i made this thing, but i didnt wanna give up the original, so here's a copy of it." it seems like since i obviously appreciate what he does, i could show that by giving him the original.


yeah, its true that no other g.l.a.s.s. fan has one, but it doesnt seem as special since im the one who made it and all.

I'm going to make a slide of it so that ican scan it and have a digital file of it. that way i can print it poster sized for myself. hell, if im feeling really ambitious i might try tomake a g.l.a.s.s. logo and add that to it just for the hell of it.
