Just wanted to comment on how fabulous the show was on 12/5-and the fact that it was a benefit concert made it even better.......gotta give to receive. Some of thefans wererevealing their age by throwing plastic cups into the crowd during the show-I wanted to say, "Sorry kids, but this isn't TJ" G-LovewasSUPER SEXY& when he started up with that harmonica it was intoxicating. The only thingI don't understand is why 91X plays so much Jack & not muchG-Love.......someone needs to work on that. Nice job on Letterman last night......hope it generates a few more fans........

I just feel that the band has been around a long time & that because they have played at various events & venues around SD....91X should play them a little more.....I'm aSD girl so I have the right to talk some sh*t :) There are just so many wonderful songs to enjoy.........G-Love & the sauce should hire me to do some PR work :) Garrett never does anything in particular that makes him sexy.......when he starts performing he is irresistible-love the sounds, love the lyrics, love the voice. Imet him thatnight & he was very soft-spoken and a gentleman-I appreciate him as an artist& that is what makes him a total babe :) Where are you @ that they don't play them on the radio??

I envy you girl! I was at the same show! I agree, there is nothing inparticular that makes him sexy-- maybe his nerdy-ness( I might get shot for that!LOL) But it's true! He has this real 'down to earth' feel, God I wish I could have met him... You weren't one of those chicks dancing on the stage when Jack Johnson was playing were you?
P.S. S.D. knows how to party~ my forum is posted in g.l.a.s.s.

p.s. Angela~ unfortunately radio disc-jockeys have no control over what type of music is played on the radio, neither does the"p.r. people".It all has to do with the actual "networks" and what company that particular radio station works through. It is a bum deal, we hardly ever hear G-Lovehere in Kansas City, actually RARELY do we ever here glass. They do play a lot of Jack Johnson here too though, actually they play a lot of the same sh*t!
XM radio is supposed to whip the corporate mess into shape, b/c "network" ratings go off of the majority of the publics favorite music, and XM is allowed to play what it wants freely w/o commercials. The majority of the public listen to bullsh*t and don't open their options to something "fresh and new", so there is an over though of the same type of music. (i.e. rap, country, heavy rock) Try to play the same type of sh*t and you will make money! So it is a vicious circle. I am pretty good friends with the D.J.'s out here, and half of them hate what they have to play. Some of them don't even like that type of music in the first place!
anyway! thought I'd share,

Heya, I worked in KC summer and fall of 2002. I really enjoyed the city, saw G.Love at City Market in July and in Lawrence in October. I listened to the Buzz? I think thats what it's called and "90.9 KTGB The Bridge"
I still listen to the Bridge over the internet!! If I ever have the opportunity again it's a city that I will deffinetely go back to. Couldn't live there though, not enough water.

Melodylee-I am definately NOT one of the girls who was dancing on stage, not something I would do UNLESS G & J wanted me to sing while they played guitar :) You came all the way from Kansa City to San Diego? You are a true fan :)
PS-thanks for the radio info........you learn something new everyday :)
undercoverlover-Texas.....what part? Never been there but I hear the steak isamazing :) Only met for a few minutes......As I was standing there being subjected toridiculous stories from theannoying guy I wish I hadn't agreed to take, I looked over & Garrett was alone &walking in my direction so I walked over to him, introduced myself& told him how much I enjoyed his music.........therewas no evening filled with the kind of HOT & SWEATYSEX that lastsall night long......sorry to disappoint you :)

No sex!!! Too bad! Well I figured you weren't one of those girls... but I didn't want to say anything if you were! Yeah, a true fan as I can be, but I actually won tickets from the local radio station... 96.5 the buzz! So I would have never even known about the concert if it wasn't for that! God, it totally rocked didn't it! We met a couple locals down there so they helped us feel at home. Where did you stand? We were right up front on the left of the stage, and we spent the majority of the concert fighting to keep our spots!
brijahn~ where did you work in KC? Well I have never heard of "the bridge" but " I know a few morning dj's off "the buzz". I actually live in "suburbia hell" about 20 minutes outside of kansas city Mo. I deffinately enjoy living here. Being in the asshole center of the country sucks though.~no water~You have to play the cards your delt I guess.

I know I'm derailing this thread again, but oh well. The Bridge (http://www.ktbg.fm/index-new.html) is cool, they're NPR out of Osage Beach, have some real good radio shows. I listen on Sunday nights over the net to "Keller's Cellar (http://www.kellerwilliams.net/kellerscellar/)" Keller William's (http://www.kellerwilliams.net/) syndicated radio show, everybody should check it out. They have a lot of variety and in the past have played a good bit of GLaSS. I stayed in Overland Park near the Sprint Campus, worked in Lenexa and there abouts, mostly Jackson Co.Edited by: brijahn
