i have a dmb album [crash, i think?] and i love to start sundays with
it sometimes.. i don't listen to the radio tho, so i'm not exposed to
much new stuff when it comes out, but a friend talked me into
downloading some songs from his some devil album and i really enjoy
them, too.

I think they used to be great live. Lots of unexpected jams. Not as good lately but still good. Their drummer Carter is a GOD! TheListener Supported DVD is great. Worth the $$.

It's funny I have been to 50 plus DMB shows, Go to atleast 5-10 every year, and last year was more of an uplifting for me and my group of friends who are all dmb addicts, some of my friends are tapers, and have been to 100 plus dmb shows. We all agree that last year was better than the last 3 tour years, they played 5 new songs, they changed up older songs, Came out and rocked superfreak in memory of rick james, and switched up a lot of there stuff. Last year they had more energy in their shows than they have had in while. They have a new album on the way. Never doubt this band. Not when the baddest drummer on the planet is the backbone.

You were without a doubt at the wrong shows. I am sorry, I wish you caught them on some of their better nights.

Speaking of DMB...Here is a link to there new album web site, this site is gonna doucment some of the studio process that is currently happening with the DMB. Looks like they are headed in a different direction than the past. To me I think change is always good, to the older whiney DMB fan they don't like it already after hearing a 20 second clip of a song, the dmb boards are buzzing with negativity. What a shame. I am hopefull the band pulls through and makes another great album! If you like the band keep checking back at that site for updates....

I was a DMB freak 1994-1997, travelled all over seeing them. Then moved on after they got really popular. "Busted Stuff" really got me back into them, it is a GREAT album. They are a great band, but most would say a little played out. Didn't see them live again until this past summer and was a little dissapointed, but I still had a great time!

Overall, I like them. smileys/smiley20.gif

Man I loved that album too.... but I had it since it was "the lillywhite sessions" so listened to it for about 2 years before it was released... and actually liked the raw versions a little bit better.... but im super excited about the new one.

I don't care what anyone says, the band is a very good band for a very long time now. The whole "pop" thing makes me laugh, yes they have become very popular, but it's not like they are N'sync or something, I think its funny when people say stuff like they dont like them cause they are pop. Fuck Hendrix became pop, dylan, the doors, Zeppelin, the Beatles are pop. You can classify me in that category anytime you want. It makes me laugh even more cause I love Glass with all of my heart but please don't try to pretend that this last album and this media push (Booty call video especially) isn't trying to make this band more POPULAR with them being more in the public eye. They are trying to acheive that status as well. After years of making no money eventually you will fall to being a pop star. Most of the great ones do. I can't blame them.

DMB is great! No matter if u like the music or not, the band puts on one of the best live performances of our time. Every album they put out is huge.
Also about being in the pop category, i found many G Love albums in the pop category.. On Ebay and in other places. Just because music is labeled as this type or that, doesnt mean its not good music..

i think the newer dave stuff with more of the electric guitar just makes a different sound of the band. like the cd everyday definently wasnt as good as crash and under the table and earlier cds but it has some really good songs on it and i still like it
