hey man, I don't know anyone in particular who needs a musician, but my brother in law lives and plays out in phoenix with his band KEDDAH. They are making a bit of a name for themselves out there and maybe they can lead you in the right direction. check them out at www.keddah.com (http://www.keddah.com) his name is Zelus. Good luck friend.

Unfortunately not. Luckily since I DL'd that audacity program I can send my chit back to L.A. for my lead man and perc. to add onto and vicee versee. Since I've split the perc. has started beltin' out lots more and opening up his pipes. He's come a long way. Still kinda wierd about them playing/rewriting all the songs I wrote. LOL You know how it is. You write a song and it's kinda like your baby. It's hard to see it taken elsewhere, ya know? Of the 15 tunes they do on their own I wrote 10-12 of them. I need to do something with my tunes. My New Years Reso is to be making some $ off my tunes by '06. Too bad I couldn't subtly drop a disc in G's hand when he's here in a couple weeks.

There is a local paper out there that you can pick up at 7-11 and what not, I wish my burnt ass could remember the name of it,new times or something like that. It is all about the music sceene out there and they always post open mic nights at different spots. Thats how my brother in law hooked up with keddah they have lots of adds for musicians needing someone or wanting to hook up with a band.

in fact I just looked it up and here is the link for you. www.phoenixnewtimes.com (http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com)

I can understand it must be weird someone messing with your "babies", my writings are like that to me and I usually don't share them but I make an acception round here, but I don't know what I would do if someone tried to change them. Good luck hun, keep us posted, hope the link helps!

Grazi. Yeah, I've perused the New Times and plan on checking out the open mic thing. It's just hard to do once you've been paid for your services. LOL But I was just talking about that today with a friend. Saying that at least there would be other musicians and possibly people looking for new/local acts to book. Gonna toss up an ad in Guitar Center, too. Once I figure out how to convert my wav files to mp3 I'll try to put some up and get a little feedback from y'all. Good thing about online like this is that you can't actually throw a beer bottle at someone if they stink. hehe

lol.. I can understand it being hard to kinda start a new once you have been getting paid, it can almost feel like taking a step back, but you will find your nitch. you should hope over to the arts forum of this board I am sure someone can help you convert your music so we can all enjoy it. It is good that none can throw things at you here, I was worried when I started sharing, but everyone here is real nice. Good luck. One love. Edited by: ramble on rose

I've noticed that. Everyone is really supportive. Even if they don't like what's being shared they still give bad feedback in a somewhat positive way. LOL I can appreciate that.

Have talked to a few people but nothing seems to be coming together just yet. Which isn't half bad considering I'm still working on a few new tunes and would like to have them honed in before I debut them to an audience. lol I miss my boys down in Cali, dammit!!!!! lmao

Oh definitely. I'm still stoked on having the addy for Brushfire Records. They said that they aren't taking any submissions at current, but one could submit anyway. LOL You play an instrument, ramble?

That sounds cool slidin, good luck with that, exposure of any kind is definatly a good thing.

well, I used to play the violin, but it has been a while, I want to purchase one and get back into it. I also am trying to teach myself to play guitar, i have a book, but it is tough. My man plays guitar and bass, and tries from time to time to teach me, but I am astubborn student.

Nice. Well just keep at it. As for any kind of lessons, etc. I've found that wholenote.com is one of the best sites for anything guitar related. Online tuner, metronome, scale finder, you name it.
