This past year has been a trip right?? So much has happened. Trust me if you're down right now for whatever reason--you will come up. Its gonna take work and time but like that old lyric from so many songs- “everything’s gonna be alright�...

GLASS is starting the year off with a bang. We will be performing the new single from �The Hustle�, �Booty Call� on the new “Late Late show� and there is more national TV in the works. The video is up on the site so check it and please get ready to request “Booty Call� on your local radio station. I will be at Sundance, Vegas, and Aspen for the X games. In Aspen we will play a benefit for breast cancer. I will also be doing some commentating for the ESPN X games coverage. So come check us out!!

We send all of our prayers and condolences to the victims of the Tsunami and their families. What a terrible tragedy. When a tragedy of this magnitude occurs in such an uncontrollable fashion, it puts a lot of things into perspective. We are all so blessed or lucky to be alive. It makes me wonder about this war in Iraq and why people are being intentionally killed on both sides--and for what?? The situation becomes saturated in confusion. Our prayers go out to all of the troops and innocent Iraqi people who are caught in the crossfire...

So this New Year has started on a fast and heavy vibe and we should use the strength of those vibes to achieve great things. So much love to you and yours and we will see you soon. Stay on the hustle and keep your head up!!!!

Right right! It's gonna be a GREAT year. I heard Astronaut on the radio yesterday and about shit myself. I want to start by saying that I am new to your site and new to your music since this past year, but you definatly have a new fan. I saw you at Austin City Limits with Jack and Donovan and fell in love. I hope you'll come back to Texas soon. anyway i also hope to be south of the border for the x games in a couple so if i see you all around you know we'll get down...

new years, in most important measures i've found, are little more than mile markers. you drive through life and occasionally these little signs whip past ("oh, happy new year to you too!") to let you know how far you are from where you started. sometimes you're closer to the begining. others, near the end. who's to say for sure which is which? no one. karma.


i guess where i'm going with this is a new year is not, at least for me, this mythical clean slate i hear so much about. last year, i turned thirty, got my first really cool telecaster ('78...smoo-oooth), went under the knife twice and got engaged to a woman that makes my soul tingle if you feel me. this year, with a little luck and some love and support from those around me, i'll open my own bar/restaurant (G, your check is always on me in DC, ya hear?), marry said unbelievably wondrous woman who for some unknowable reason has chosen to spend the rest ofher life with me, and smile. a lot. that wasn't the plan a few years ago, but it is now.living notthrough single eventsbut a whole life is the ticket. don't know which station i get off at, but i'm on for the ride.


to distill all this, the partyon new years is nice. just don't forget where you're going or where you come from. work to make everything better for everyone all the time. fall in love and never forget why. play music just because. be good to people you don't know all year, not just in december/january.life can go pretty fast. take the time to live it well. this year and all others.
