Generally I cannot stand the crap I see on these award shows, and I am not interested in most of theartists who usually win grammys, but I thought this article was cool. Mostly since these bands aremore then likely be the only good bands to get awards when this show airs.

The sad part is when an album like "Diamonds on the inside" an amazing album doesnt get an credit in a year with bullshit music out it makes the grammys less credible, then he drops a "Gospel album" with the blind boys he gets some credit.

B-Love I totally agree. Truthfully I don't know if I have listened to There will be Light all the way through. Diamonds on the inside was just to amazing! But I hope he does get at least one statue at the Grammys, he deserves it!

These awards proved me right, John Mayer won 2 grammys for the song "daughters", that song fucking sucks, and makes my ears bleed. No disrespect to the late great ray charles either, but does anyone else find it funny that when a legend has an album out and passes on the same year, that album is a lock to win some of the bigger awards for the night? everytime...smileys/smiley11.gif

I myself did not watch the awards, I did see a clip of Joss doing janis with a bald melissa ethridge, nutty. Alicia Keys does have quite a voice, she is talented. And B-Love as much as I think ray charles is a legend I couldn't agree more with you. Honor someone with awards when they are around to enjoy it, you know he's good, why wait till he is dead.

Exactly...He was a legend before he died, do not honor him now. But time and time again this type of stuff happend with the grammys..

Alicia has a good voice, but no range. She sings the sametone and volume all the time. Bores me.


That night, my roommates and I each had over a bunch of people, and we all went upstairs to smoke les greens and watch Simpsons, and instead the fuckin grammy's were on. It was very hard to watch. That beginning part, where everyone was singing together showing us that all their songs are essentially the same? What was that? We watched up until Marc and J-Ho performed, and then we had to turn it off. Some of us, including me and Marco the drummer, were actually tripping out bad. It was horrible. Very depressing that this is what we are being told is quality.
