Blackalicious is definately good hip hop...Blazing Arrow is a GREAT new album of theirs...

"Prefuse 73" is also some great stuff if you haven't heard them, I'd check them ASAP.

One last one is the white boy hip hop group"Ugly Duckling" who just came out with a new concept album called 'Taste the Secret' about a restaraunt called Meat Shake (yes, meat milkshakes). Check out the mock website that goes with the concept album at http://www.meatshake.com.

Seen them live a few times. They do put on a good show. I also have a Spearhead cd with Blackalicious and Karl Denson. Awesome show from DC.

Speaking of A Tribe Called Quest, you guys hear that they are reuniting? I was a happy little somebody when I heard that. It appears that they will be coming back together but Q-Tip will still be doing his solo thing.

yeah blackalicious is sweet, blazing arrow is mixed really well, was one of my favorite albums of 2002. ugly duckling are awesome too, those guys just clown around and write funny rhymes, journey to anywhere was my favorite of theirs, in fact i just caught them on the calicomm tour, lyrics born from the quannum crew was there as well, his new album later that day is pretty good. keep hearing good things about prefuse 73 too, but have yet to pick up anything by him, someone compared him to rjd2? is that accurate? cause rjd2 is one of my favorites dj's/producers, deadringer was sweet, so was his mixtape your face or your kneecaps, anyway check that dude out, he's f**king awesome.

Y'all need to check out Buck 65. He's this MC from
up north in Canada, just waitin' to blow. Very
different sounding than most hip hop today.

speaking of Canadain MCs, K-OS's album "exit" is
tight and right, one of this year's best. definitely
check that one out.
