Well Kelli I think you should go! Find a friend and go, especially if your boyfriend is going to the bar! But I do think G. is in Europe at the time... so you can cross out asking him to the concert. smileys/smiley19.gif

Obviously I dont know what he likes, but Donovan is very good live, so I would ask him. Its not like ur asking him to go see O town.

My favorite thing to buy my girlfriends are tickets to see bands that I really like, and theydon't really listen too. "Honey, I have a surprise for you...I have something really fun planned for us this weekend...tickets to see Wilco!!!" It's a good test to see if she is a keeper or not.
And, by the way, if your man would rather go to the bar and drink, than with you to see DF using tickets you bought for him...get a new boyfriend. That show will be fecking sweet!

I feel your pain. The friends of mine that like the same type of music I like are all living out of state for at least a year. But I solved the donavon show problem by getting the tickets for my friends as a christmas present! They were excited especially since they didn't have to buy them!
Kelli--You and your man will love Donavon live. My husband and I saw him with G. and Jack last time they were in Philly.Question for ya, know where to get get tickets? I didn't see them for sale on ticketmaster for Feb.11th. Please let me know if you do!!
Also, I'm pretty sure the TLA has a bar in it, so you and your boyfriend could both be happysmileys/smiley1.gif

Tix were only $13 for Chicago show! Small venue. The pocket book says "yeah!". My head says, "WTF?!" The tour can't even come close tomeeting the overhead in these small venues. But hey, his choice, our gain.
Peace . . .
