At the risk of showing my age i'm proud to announce that i have just re-discovered one of my all time songwriting heros Suzanne Vega, and may i suggest to anyone to give her a second hearing....the girl is good.
Kind of embarrassed wheni gave a girl a lift home from work though and she said her mum had the same CD!!!
Fuck i'm old....it's definately old and not just wise - wise don't come with grey hairs and a saggin' butt! smileys/smiley6.gif

Lou you rock!!! I love suzanne Vega. So much passion and meaning to her, she is awsome. Don't feel old, if it helps, I had a similar experiance the other day. While listening to the local classic rock station during my preperation of supper I heard Bon Jovi's Dead or Alive, and The Black Crowes version of Hard to Handle,on Classic Rock!!! My heart felt heavy and I was just in shock. What the F is that about?

I soon expect to hear korn and rage on classic rock then I will truely freak. Mr. Ramble and I joke about it all the time, but really hearing songs play on that station that I remember being released is a mind F.....

Didn't she sing that "Luka" song? lol I'm completely bummed when I listen to classic rock stations. Before you know it all the stuff we were into will be played on the oldies stations. Ugh!!! How old am I? Can you say "US Festival?"

Besides Tori Amos, Suzanne Vega is my favorite female singer ever.
One of my favorite CD's ever. Reminds me of my high school sweetheart...

I loved Nikka Costa's 1 and only cd. I loved that song that was in the Blow movie, Push and Pull...Really good song! I've heard G play her songs before his concerts.
