I'm sure that many of you have been to some wild places and seen some interesting sites across the globe. What is your favorite vacation spot and why. It does not have to be vacation spot, but the best place you ever visited for school abroad or work or whatever. Mine would have to be Hawaii. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon for 2 weeks. One week on Maui and another on Kauii. The place is fuckin beautiful. We took this early morning trip to the top of a dormant volcano to watch the sunrise above the clouds and then biked down this winding road for like two hours until we hit the ocean. It was totally rad. On the way down the guide was showing us all these famous peoples houses like Jimi Hendix, Willy nelson, and Gwen Paltrow. It was cool. Maui is very commercialized compared to kauii, which is so lax. Anyway that is my fav. vacation spot and if I could move anywhere, It would be Hawaii. Honerable mentions include Rockey Mountains in Colorado, Outer Banks in N.C. and Algonquin National Park In Canada.

I am with you on Hawaii. I've only been to Maui, but loved it. One week, and still couldn't squeeze in all that I wanted to do. And the top of the volcano wascold as s*#t, bro! Shorts and hoody not enuf. Gorgeous tho. Found 2 secluded spots to snorkel--unbelievable! Visited rain forest. Watched baby whales breeching. Ate great seafood all week. Greens were easy to score. Equation: hawaii = heaven.

Second choice: Colorado--sweet Summer or Winter.

Ragmop- Your not kidding about the cold, was def. worth it though. The sunrise was the bomb, above the clouds and shit. We did a lot of shopping there. Lahaina was a cool village with some good food. Love Seafood. Mahi-mahi yum yum.

hmmm...I love Maine. it is awesome there. I woke up super early one morning to watch the sunrise, it was awesome. i had to get up at 4am to catch it!!! then fell asleep on the rocks for a few hours. Maine is very relaxed. we spent most of the time hiking around, chillin in log cabins, and driving around getting stoned. we took a trip all the way up to fort kent, on the northern border. it was so amazing. seemed like we were the only people out there!

other favorite spots...Tokyo was beyond awesome, and I love the UK, esp. Scotland...absolutely gorgeous!!!

I have been on a few great trips and it is hard to pick one fav, so I have to give it up to a tie.

One going to the island of Oahu. I spent two weeks on Kaneohe Bay, my friend was stationed there with his family and invited me out. I spent that time basking on the officers private beach, a free tour the marines gave, which included the Arizona memorial and a dormant volocano they converted into a state park. And got my first tattoo. Also got to see the kodak hula show they preform there, and went to a luau. (forgive the spelling)theGreens were also easy access and da bomb! I think not only was going to Oahu great, but the whole experiance of my trip. I grayhound it out to Cali, stayed w/ a friend for a few days, went to venice beach, saw a cool morrison mural, met harry perry! Then oahu for two weeks back to cali for a few more days and grayhound back home. Loved the bus ride cross country, it was wonderful, I met so many people and saw the southern part of this great land, most of it was truely breathtaking. I was gone for a month traveling by myself, it was great.

The other going to my first, and onlycruise. I was 6 months prego, and my in laws took us to san juan puerto rico, the bahamas and st. thomas. St. Thomas was my favorite, very beautiful. The peopleloved my hubby due to the fact he has a bob marley portrit tattoo on his forearm.(which made buds easy to find there as well.)It was georgous! All the food you could eat, including midnight chocolate buffets. (it may have contributed to my daughter being 9lbs 4ozs at birth) Shows, and gambling, and pools, and basketball courts on the ship. On the last day they took us to thier private island where they had a big bach party, with a reagge band that was pretty cool.

man sorry for the rambling, those were just the best trips of my life, and I love to talk about them. Plus I had to get on the Hawaii train.Edited by: ramble on rose

I haven't gone to many exciting places, but driving from MN to Colorado Springs spending a few days there and then going back home through the Black hills was fun. It is an amazing area of the country. The helicopter ride over Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse was awesome! But NY was also a thrill! I love how busy it is! I need to get back there ASAP! I need to get out more:)

I haven't been many places...yet. I did spend a week in Maui a couple years ago, but I was 7 months pregnant and didn't get to do half as much as I wanted to. It was gorgeous there though andI can't wait to go back.

I also love San Francisco. Just there last weekend and it is just a beautiful city.

Visiting Amsterdam would be among your favorite vacation? It's obvious you haven't been there yet!! There are much nicer places in this world!! (... and "the greens" are"legal"everywhere inThe Netherlands ...)

Tip for when you get to Australia: NIMBIN!!! You'll never want to leave!!

My favorite "Holiday" would have to be traveling for 15,5 months after selling my house .... I never wanted to go home ... ever again!! Best place on this globe would have to be Northern Vancouver Island, Canada .... but that could change with every "trip" I make!!

No doubt about Colorado!!! Nothing like the high country.

New Zealand is by the far the absolute coolest place I have ever
been. "cool" isn't even the right word. AMAZING! That
country has so many different regions and things to do. The
people are atypical to people in the US. So great that I'm moving
down there in May for 12 months. Too bad G Love isn't down there.

Best holiday overseas has got to be India - just hanging out in Goa on the southwest coast. It is unbelievable, total culture shock but the best holiday i ever had.

Best spot in Australia - has got to be camping with my pooch on ninety mile beach in southern Victoria. Yeah sure the water is straight of the antarctic and it's a bit cold but hell it is so isolated you can do whatever the hell you want. Great spot just to relax and get away from the noise and pollution....the dog likes the swimming too.

Jeez anyone would think i like the beach or something!?!

O man where to begin????? I love to travel.

Anywhere Tropical: I've been to Bermuda twice and I love it. I was planning on going back this summer but the hotel we go to was already booked. I've also been to ST. Thomas, ST. Johns, ST. Kitts, san wan,the Bahamas and I'm going to Aruba this spring.MY favorite spot is St. Johns. I want to move there and I'm defiantly thinking about. I would to get a tropical summer homeat some point.

The East Cost: I live here and love to travel all around it. I'm, always taking trips to Vermont and Maine in the summer. I surf in Newport when the waves are good. Usually rent a house for a week in the cape, and do some more surfing... Portsmouth, NH is also fun to visit. I think I have hit every Micro Brewery on the East coast...

Canada. I've only been a couple times but it blows my mind every time I go. If Bush keep running the country the he has been I might have to think about movingthere. I just went to Montreal for a Bachelor party this past summer. If you ever get a chance to attend one there do it. hehehe

Ireland I wish I was Irish. What a great country so beautiful. I had blast driving around the countryside. Dublin is happing place. And Guinness......... There’s more... but I need to get some work done...

I love traveling more than anything! There are a lot of places that I loved and could ramble about for pages but I'll keep it to a minimum-

My number one place is Budapest. I lived there 6 months and it was freakin unbelievable. Bars open all night, the best is the open-air places. Nothing like a night of dancing under the stars, and then seeing the sun come up still partying. There's also the hot baths which was where we'd go once the sun came up. Good times! Plus it helps that everything was cheap. Eastern europe in general is very cheap to travel and has a lot to see.

I also lived in Dublin, and I am Irish, so I have to put Ireland as a whole on my list. There are so many beautiful sights and great music and very friendly people.

Honestly, every place I've been to has been awesome. The next trip i am going toTurkey. I have been infatuated with Istanbul for years. I would also really like to go to China.
