So all the talk about the Dylan book and my recent trip with mini ramble to the library has got me wondering, what do you all like to read, if at all. Besides the Dylan book I am reading The Sicilian by Mario Puzo, author of The Godfather. We also picked up some of my favorite reads, Where The Sidewalk Ends and A Light In The Attic by Shel Silvertein. Mr. Ramble and I thought it would be cool to read books to our girl that we enjoyed growing up, plus it is nice to read them, it has been a while. So, what are you reading????

Thats funny youmention Shel Silverstein..For Christmas I went out and boughtmy two lil nephews both of those books..I wanted them to read what I loved as a child...They both dig the books..I am currently reading, The latest book on The Lizard King himself, Jim Morrison:Life.Death,Legend. I have read all of the books on the doors, and Jim, this is the latest book..So far it's pretty good, but I don't like the books that are written about both the band and Jim written by people who weren't involved or Knew the Band.Books by Ray Manzarek, and John Densmore, and even PatricaKeneely..Jim's only real wife, even though Pam was his Love are the books I prefer...It's good so far..But written by someone who researched these fact, not someone closely related to the band...

i prefer to read fantasy books.. growing up, reading was my only
escape, so i read books that could take me far, far away from my real
life. i'm currently anticipating the new harry potter to come out
in july, and until then i need to tear up my house to find return of
the king to reread that, and also i need to reread the last harry
potter before the next one comes out. once i'm done with those 3
books, i'm going to be on the hunt for more of the shanara series by
terry brooks!

Love the doors myself. I have only read No One Here Gets Out Alive,by jerry hopkins and danny sugarman, but I loved it. Ray Manzarek is one of my all time favorite musicians so I will have to check out his.

Shel Silverstein rocks I love the Giving Tree, I got it as a gift at one of my baby showers and it is still in regular rotation for bedtime reading.

I also loved S.E. Hinton, (The Outsiders) she was always a good read back in the day.

I am reading a book called Positivly 5th Street. It is about the life and death ofTed Binion. His father was the man who started the World Series of Poker. It is not bad.

My fav book is called Bringing Down the House. It is about a group of MIT students who make an art out of counting cards in blackjack. They take Vegas for Millions. It is a great book.

Since classes ended last semester I've been taking advantage of free time to read. My BF's a librarian so he brings me home lots of books, sometimes ones I ask for, sometimes just books he thinks I'll like. All fiction right now, but I want to read some bio's. Just saw Ghandi so I asked him to get me some books about him. Read the new Koontz, the new Grisham, a bunch of Anne Rice, some Patterson, and Cornwell, you know all those top sellers. One book I read that was fascinating was called Blindness by Jose Saramago. It's about some people who start going blind for no reason so they're put in quarantine where they have to learn to survive together, eventually everyone goes blind (in the world) sothey end up having tolearn to survive in the world blind.Kind of makes you think about how much we rely on our sight.Good book, very dark though. It won a nobel prize for literature.

Some of my favs...Kavalier & Clay, The Great Gatsby, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and Men and Cartoons (not really about cartoons). The list can go on and on and on, but these are my picks for today.
