//--></>Some time ago, I got an awesome copy of Bob Dylan's return to the Newport RI Folk Festival 8-2-02. At a Bob Dylan board, I set up what I called a Freebie Tree... I sent a copy of the show to 5 people for free, no trading... they sent it to 5 or so for free and so on... before I knew it, over 300 people had the show for free!

Would folks here be interested in such a tree for a GLaSSunreleased board recording from 1997... May 5th in Shepherdstown WV?

It will not be ready for some time as I still have some mastering work to do on it, but I just thought I'd see if there was interest.

I am looking to get copies of any of the Washington DC 9:30 Club or other Washinton DC area shows throughout the years... not sure where to look for these. Can anyone help me?

I'm also trying to figure out which years G toured with the Kelly Bell Band, cause I'm sure they opened at the 9:30 club when I was there but I don't have the ticket stub.

Thanks folks... this is gonna be a great find to all G. Love fans... I was lucky enough to be the sound man's (local here) helper. I brought the tape deck just in case and it worked out great!

I've been a hugeDylan collector for years and this tape just never got converted to CD. It's time it saw the light! It was a very high energy show... the crowd was sooo into it... at the end, G invited some ladies up to dance on stage and before I knew it, the stage was full!!!

Does anyone else have any shows within 6 months either before or after this show??? I'd be very interested in hearing them!

Do you folks here do that Bit-Torrent thing? That might be the best way to get it to a bunch of folks.

When they return to this area, I'll try to geta new board recording. It'll be nice taping a taper friendly band for a change! I really don't think they were too hip on it in 97, cause when I showed up with the tape deck, I was told by the sound man that the band wanted the only feed from the board. Obviously there are more than one ways out of a board and I found it!I've allways thought this show should be released as a live album, but maybe that's just cause I was there. Sounds great to me!

At one point, a dog is running around the stage and you can hear G say... "come on boy!" and then he strums a chord and holds it out while he pets the dog! Then after the song the houseman says "yo man, who's dog?"

I've got a few recent G shows from the 9:30 (the last 3 I believe) plus
one from the Birchmere. Let me know if you're interested.

Brian

PS: I'm the taper on all 4 shows.

Even better, put it up on archive.org so that peeps can enjoy it forever.

G's archive.org page can be found
here (http://www.archive.org/audio/etreelisting-browse.php?collection=etree&cat=G.%20Love%20and%20 Special%20Sauce)

Sorry this kinda got put on the back burner for a bit due to some issues, but I have been working on the mastering. There were some drastic reductions in volume here and there in the first song due to some wire issues.I've managed to repair most of it, but I'm still working on it! I will definitely upload it to the archive and make an announcement here when it is done! I am very familiar with FTP, SHN's and Shntool!

Thanks!
