To me, Jimmy Chamberlain is one of the most under rated drummers in the world, for those of you who don't know who Jimmy is, he was the Smashing Pumpkin/Zwan Drummer...He now has an album out, it's mostly music, but a few guest solo singers- Billy Corgan sings on one track, Bill Medely from the Righteous Brothers on another. The album is a good mix, like jazz rock fusion...and Jimmys drumming is always top notch..Check it out...

i always wondered who that was. i hated smashing pumpkins but the drummer and the bassist were good. they should find a better singer i think

i loved most of the pumpkins music up until the end, after mellon collycorgan just got too weird for me. jimmy chamberlain has always been a great drummer, he just tied off the dinasour a bit too much back in the day. Hopefully his new found musical path keeps him on the path. I will have to check it out and let mr. r know, he is a huge pumpkin head. Thanks for the info B-love. Curious does he have a web site?

I am a huge pumpkin fan, I love Billy.I think he is one of the most underated musicians of our time as well. Lyrically I think he is a poet, he is a great guitarist. Man he even wrote those baselines that D'arcy played. I don't think D'arcy was a good bassist at all. Most of the stuff Billy wrote. Chamberlain is a great drummer, James Iha was good..Good band overall that never gets enough credit, when the Alternative scene first broke out, everyone sounded the same..but to me the pumpkins had there own thing. An original sound that was never copied unlike other bands.

thanks B, I will be sure to share it with the mister. I have to agree with you, Billy is truely a poet andan incrediblemusician. I also thought he had a big ego, but with an abundance of talent you can be. Definatly one of the most original bands of their time.
