I'm trying to learn French, just for the fun of it. I am having the hardest time andand it's pissing me off. Has anyone who has learned French have any pointers for me????

good luck...i have a hard neough time speakin my own language properly!!! work hard and you an do it. i tried the whole german thing but didnt work hard enough.dont worrywe have faith in ya. wee wee

I went to a french intensive program for two years. By the end I was fluent. Then I went to arts high school, and didn't practise. It's still in there somehwere......


Gotta practise, its the key, monsieur. I love learning languages and will practise with you if you want. for example, I will now try to translate everything I just said....


J'ai attende une ecole avec une programme intensiveen francais pour deux annes. Par la fini de cette programme, j'etait bien courant en francais. Mais apres ca, j'ai attende une ecole pour les arts ou je ne practise jamais. Je sais que la connaissance est dans quelque part....


whew, that was hard. I also reccomned a few french-english dictionaries. There's a good one online, and carry around a pocket paper back copy with you. It really helps to find the word you need instead of subbing it.

She is right. practice is the key. I love languages myself and know from experience that you HAVE TO use it regularly to maintain what ytou have learned or to go any further. good luck.
