Damm Keli you are ruthless. Yeah he even admited to talking someone about hireing them to kill her and he still got off. OJ all day long. It's great that scott peterson got the death sentence! That prick deserves it. I hope he gets man handled in prison as well.

M2C, First, neither the Peterson or Blake case merited national media circus exposure. As in most murder cases, the victims were known to the accuser. They were no different than hundreds of othermurder cases filed in state courts on a daily basis throughout this country. That we allow themedia to manipulateus into thinking otherwise, and create this frenzy or feigned importance is shameful.
Second,IMO Peterson verdict was more a function of thevictims involved, not $$$ (pregnant victim carrying his child--yikes! That's nitroglycerine in front of a jury). But, I wasvery surprisedby both verdicts. Froman evidence standpoint, the case against Blake seemed far stronger. I lost 2 bets on these guys. Juries arevery unpredictable.

The fact that Lil' Kim lied to a Grand Jury may not seem like such a big deal, but she made a mockery of a legal system that already struggles. Perjury is a MAJOR offense and if people began to lie to the grand jury onthe regular we would have a lot more innocent people in jail than we already do. A message must be sent that it is not tolerated. A grand jury is a group of people that listen to various tetsimonry BEFORE deciding to indict someone so it is VERY important in the legal process. It is the basis of the whole case. As far as the Blake case, you have to prove BEYOND a reasonable doubt that someone committed murder, you can't just say I don't like this person, he seems shady, and therefore convict. His punishment, though relative, will come some day. Because of the media, the general public are now privy to things they never were. This shit has gone on forever. My only advice would be - Do not break the law so that you have won't have to deal with the Government and Court system!

my mom and I were disscussing both outcomes today as a matter of fact, and I agree. It to me also seemed like there was a stronger case against Blake then peterson. I mean Peterson may have been a shady, two timingdick but that doesn't nessesarily make him a murderer. Blake tried to hire people to kill his wife and he had gun residue on his hands moments after his wife was killed. Plus they made his wife out to be a horrible person, and horrible or not she did not deserve that. And right since Lacy was a lovely young pregnant women who was getting f'd over by her husband in the first place she was more of a victim you could feel sympathy for. Either way they are both tragedies. I don't get it myself. It's called divorce people, no need to go so extreme.Edited by: ramble on rose

I second that. Altho, I guess they say we are all is capable of murder, given the right combinationof passion and aggression (and the extreme availability ofweapons in this country-IMO). Still I will nevercomprehend the desire to end another's life. Peace, peace, peace, ppls . . .

My sister got ran over by a car a few years back. Her friend died and my sister and the 3 others survied with some severe injuries. The guy took offf and kept driving. He was charged with failure to report an accident when he showed his face almost a week later. If he had stopped... he'd have gotten a DUI, Invoulentary man slaughter, speeding, wrecklace driving, and maybe some others. He got 4 years probation and couldnt go to bars. Although he was allowed in Red Lobsters and paces like that. He had work release prison for 1 month and got to leave and go to work every day. He had to go to AA and write my sister a letter of apology.
He was almost done with his probation when my sister saw him at a bar one night and confronted him. They had to go back to court and he finally went to jail (for less that a friggin year) because of violation of probation. He got out of jail for good behavior.
Asshole.
What did I learn from that... If I get wasted and kill someone and destroy people's lives just keep on driving and there will be a lesser punishment for me.
