I LOVE Elvis Costello! Have you seen "Lost in Translation?" There's a scene where Bill Murray sings "Peace, Love & Understanding." Great scene.

I have to check it out. not only do i love bill murray, I am a big f.f. copalla fan, and his daughter dirceted it, so I have to see how she does behind the camera and if she does justice to the man behind the godfather.

You should definitely check it out then! Have you seen "The Virgin Suicides?" She directed that one as well. It was good but it left me with a bad feeling after watching it whereas "Lost in Translation" well, know when you see a movie and it just kind of stays on your mind? That's how that one is.

so, i wanted to get a tattoo of elvis costello, but i thought that would be taking things a bit too far, so what if i got my "Lipstick Vogue" icon that i designed tattooed on me? then it can refrence elvis costello, but also be my original design... maybe thats still a bit far. smileys/smiley17.gif

Well, my husband has a portrait on his arm of bob marley, so in my opinion it would not be taking it too far. I do like the lsv icon that would be cool.

Elvis Costello goes vinyl/digital-only with April release (http://www.pastemagazine.com/action/article/6926/news/music/elvis_costello_goes_vinyldigitalonly_with_april_re lease)
His forthcoming album, Momofuku, will only play via the grooves of a vinyl platter and the miniature orchestras inside every computer. The vinyl/digital-format-only release will be available April 22 on Lost Highway, with the tried-and-true trick of including a download code with the vinyl to sway people toward having physical evidence of their love for the bespectacled icon.
My thoughts are that this is an attempt to avoid piracy via CD ripping and burning. Interesting strategy, that.

I haven't seen him in forever. My little nieces will be seeing him for the 3rd time with the Police in May, another thing I'm pouting about missing.
