That ad is a lot better than the one with the King waking up in bed with you. That commercial gave me frickin nightmares.

poor hootie, the commercial is a sign of desperation, however the sandwich is pretty f'n good. "there's a train of ladies coming with a nice caboose."

When I first saw the video I was like is that "Hootie?" Took me a while but now I know, too funny...

i hate tv and commercials but i think that particular one is funny as hell. hootie's still doing his thing and if he wants to get paid big bucks to do a tongue-in-cheek commercial then that's fine with me. it's not like he's a friggin spokesperson or anything. he probably gets free burger king now, i certainly wouldn't pay to eat that shit! lol he's been around for over 10 years, and in music now-a-days that's a pretty good run. so even if he is selling out a bit, i gotta support him. he's a carolina boy.

Murder King. Read Fast Food Nation. Stay away from that shit for all sorts of reasons; you are supporting horrible working conditions for the employees, supporting torturous living conditions for the sick and deiseased animals you are about to eat, and then you are eating the diseased and hormonally grown and antibiotically preserved meat and trans fats which your body never digests........I could go on.

All respect lost Hootie; sorry if I am a girl of principals. You gotta research what your gonna stand for man, no excuse. Sorreh.

I never really got into the fast food thing. Had a weird diet as a kid cuz of my heart. But I do gotta admit. I will NEVER pass up a bag of seasoned fries from Checkers. Mmmmm...... Checkers.....

I was specifying the politics of places like Burger King and MacD's....I dont know Checkers and I love fries.......but I refuse to support companies like B.K, KFC blah blah......

Laeyto, thanks for the referral to Fast Food Nation. I have to admit that I am clueless on this issue.I mean, I know the shit is horrendous for you, but I have stuck my head in the sand, b/cMcD cheeseburgers got my ass hooked (couple times a month). Better late than never.I am suspending my McD crave until I read it. If what you say is true, I am changing my ways. Thanks again.

Don't forget about 'Supersize Me'. That movie put me off of fast food for months.

Yup, and don't you put it off for too long ragmop! If you are also enraged by environmental catastrpohes you can see how these companies and their billions of livestock are devestating our land. DId you know that over 80% of topsoil erosion in the US is because of livestock waste? And 95% of all antibiotics in the US are used to trat livestock? And what happens to those antibiotics once and hormones once they are digested? They are passed right back out of the cow and into the water system. Yum. Do you want fries with your breast/prostate cancer? No? Better quit the Mc'D's. And not just once a month. Like, get the friggin companies out of here. They are the FDA. Wonder why you aren't being protected? Cause they make the rules to the game. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Boooo, Hootie, booooooo. You blow. hahha, Im so witty. smileys/smiley16.gif

I don't smoke. I drink in moderation. I've eaten fast food
maybe half a dozen times since I "relapsed" about 4 or 5 months ago (my
wife quit smoking the same time I quit fast food, after she started
smoking again, I cracked). This thread, combined with the fact
that my wife hasn't had a cigarette in about a month now, has put me
back on the wagon.

You didn't, I just felt the need to explain myself better. I was
going to go into more detail with my first post, but thought it was too
much info.

BTW, I'd seen that commercial a copule times and had no idea that was Hootie.
