I played the Trumpetthen French Horn until 10th grade...lovedit! First chair trumpet baby! Only played trumpet because they said I was toolittle to play the Fr. Horn in 5th grade. http://209.41.161.96/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif Ended up quitting because it interfered with the Baseball season.


Anyway, we all love music, and it is a huge part of all of our lives. So, I was watching local cable and they were showing a middle school music concert, full band, and some strings. IT SUCKED!!! And this was the concert! I don't think I could have the patience to sit through all that horrible BS to get them to that point. I am sure we sucked when I played...I couldn't imagine listening to that shitt all day.


I would love to teach History, Sociology, etc...but I don't think I could go through that.

i never took band, but i always had the coolest music teachers coming up through school. my piano teacher was also cool as hell, although she was married to preacher! you definitely need a special quality to teach music. i taught myself guitar, but i don't think i'm all that special. that just makes me cool as hell! lol ;)

I have been a music teacher; privately and in a few music schools. I love it. I need to make some posters and start doing it again, especially since I have this feeling I am gonna get canned from my temp receptionist position very soon.........

I work in a self contained classroom and they get music therapy. Its so cute. Ms. Angie playes her guitar and sings and the kids get different instruments. Mirachas(sp?) Jingle bells, mini bongos, rhythm sticks... The kids get to pick from a few songs. Hit the road Jack, 3 Little Birds, Scooby Doo, Sittin on the Dock of the Bay. Its awesome. They love and I do too. Especially when they bust out Beatles songs in the middle of the afternoon.

monica that sounds so sweet. Those kids must be soooo cute, my daughter and I rockout with pots andlids and all kinds of little instruments around the house. I am not good at any instrument, I am still learning my self, I also don't think if I was good enough to teach I would be patience either. I do think I could teach music theory or music history. Wouldn't have to worry about the off key players and out of tune instruments.

Whoa... de ja vu.... jI do remember this conversation. Ithink me and UCl had a lot to say about our skin flute skillz. Ha Ha... But yeah, I have a ten key stretch on the piano and I play a little bit of the guitar. My dream was to play the harmonica though. I mean come on, its got my name in it. whtvr... i';m a geek.

i never learned how to play guitar until i was about 19 or 20. now i'm almost 26 and can say that i've been playing guitar for about 6 years. istill don't think i'm all that good, but iknow i'm way better than i was when i started.i guesswhat i'm trying to say is it doesn't really matter how good you get or how fast you get there, but how long you stick with it. if youstarted learning to play today, in 10 years you can say, "wow, i've been playing guitar for 10 years!"you will always get better.

i love music but am def not musically inclined.. in other words i suck but i mess around with an electric bass sometimes. my bf plays bass way better than i ever will

i'd love to be a music teacher,too late tho now really. didn't do music
in school, tried to do it in college but the wouldn't let me, now i'm
doing geography at uni, but i still get to jam with my friends and
