i know we have a names age location thread but id like to pe a little more personable. kelli im 20. my b-day is aug 17 which makes me a leo.i have 4 brothers and im in the middle.both my parents are alive and together.i was a tomboy when i was little and because of the brother thing we got into some crazy situations. my family wasnt wealthy and we didnt have much money. ummm when i was 13 i started smokin cigs and when i was 14 i started with pot...very soon after i did acid, e, shrooms, wet...i regret most of it now due to the lack of memory skills but i dug my own grave. i was went through a goth phase and freak phase with the multi color hair.. i was a virgin until i was almost 17 and i thought i knew what love was. haha that was funny. uummm after gettin screwed over soon after that i swore off guys. had lots of best guy friends but nothin more. so after meeting my current boyfriend right after i turn 17 i have a crush on him. we became really great friends and i liked him more and more. after like 5 months of being friends we just werent one night. its history after that. hes broken up with me 2 times due to his unability to commit. i know he loves me and i love him. we live together now and have 2 cats. i think were gettin fish soon. he's namin one rage and im namin one marley. ooh one more thing. im a leo. i wanted to do this to open up in a personal but not personal way. thats me plain and clear...(hey i never said short! smileys/smiley2.gif) if anyone else wants to intro themselves id love to read. another thing bout me is i love reading bios and stuff

My name is Lauren, I am 23, born and raised in Toronto. My parents split when I was 2 and both remarried when I was 6. I have had a super hard time dealing with my step parents, and my mom, and have recently come to grips with all that jazz so that I could be happy and healthy and grateful for the life I have. I didnt do all that much partying in high school cause I was always baby sitting my little brother after school, and then started moving all over the city when I was 15; my mom( with a new son)had moved to a west suburb and my dad (with a new son) to an east suburb by then, and I realized I couldnt live with either of them. My little brothers are awesome and we get along great though. Anyways, I played a lot of music and performed a lot, (I was in a performing arts high school)but always cut myself short cause my mom always told me I sucked. Anyways, I perservered, got into University for environmental studies but didnt go and decided to keep writing songs and see what would happen. I went to college for music production and engineering, which landed me in a lot of debt, and no real job, but lots of contacts and knowing what steps to take next. And so thats where I am now; paying off my debt, temping long-term at an office, working with what I have bought myself(my comp, mic, acousitc and electric, key boards and wah pedel, but I dont know who to use it well...), performing where and whenever I get the chance, and I start recording next week with a great guy I met at school.

I am also passionate about animal rights and do a lot of volunteering. (I am not a total veg though I boycott it by not buying it, cause its the method I protest, not the practise of eating meat. Its just so horrible, the farms today....and thats my cause.) Between music and friends and volunteering, coincidence always leads me to beautiful and wonderful people and situations. I belive in karma and science together, sychronicity stuff. I want to push for change in the world. I fill out many peitions from my desk at work and spend too much time on msn, but am only ever on it at work.

I have two cats, Tiger and Meow-Meow, both strays that found me last year. I have no money but I buy them the most expensive organic cat food to keep them healthy, and they like it. They are both fixed and around 1 year old. They are the best cats in the world, and we are a family. smileys/smiley17.gifThey like music and people.

I could go on; did I say I like to blab? But I dont want to do the novel thing. So thats a run down. Where's the rest of the peoples at!? No one wants to disclose themselves??? smileys/smiley3.gif

^ your wish is my command then.

Hi all, I'm Parisa.

I'm a youngin (15 only) from Vancouver BC. I was born in Tehran, Iran though and lived there for five years. Since I've basically grown up here, I'm very...how shall I say it...North American Culturalized? Hah. The friends just call it white-washed basically.

Anyways, I used to be cross eyed. yep.

Two surgeries and a couple of glasses later, I have perfect vision. You may all applaud, I know it takes a lot of talent. I'm a very modest girl because I was picked on in elementary due to my HUGE effing glasses, but that's okay cuz I just laughed it off.

I basically laugh everything off. You know those people you see on the corner laughing like a hyena? And then you point them out to you friend and together you guys wonder what's wrong with the hyena? That would be I, the hyena. I'm not exactly a loud person(not shy either) but my laugh gets me in trouble/strange looks.

MOVING ON, I plan on living in Malta, Italy simply because I get bored of Vancouver. I'm one of four people accepted for a trip to Japan this summer and I cannot wait, I've never really been anywhere in the world.

I love Conan. I don't like people abuse alcohol because I've been around that ever since I was a wee little kindygardener, so I just have bad memories. (Not to say I preach or anything, I'll hang out with buds when they're really drunk and clean up their vomit and all, I'm just always a tad afraid they'll say something/do something to hurt me or someone else.) I just recently started volunteering, mainly with the Salvation Army and its one of the best things ever. The people there are just true characters, so genuine!. On, I'm a huge fan of genuinity.

I like puddles, I love to play in the rain. If you're actually reading this, you are my hero and I promise you a gold/yellow tinted star of some sort. I'm not really girly. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE hockey. I enjoy wrestling. And if you feel it's your duty to be the one to inform me that it's fake, I may just roll my eyes at that - apologies in advance.

Aight yo! My name is Bryan, soon to be 26 years old. I am a Libra. I am a new yorker through and through I was born In Brooklyn, NY. I moved to Long Island Ny, lived there till I was 15. I then moved a lil further upstate New York in the wonderful lil hippie town of New Paltz. I was raised on MUSIC, LOVE AND Good family. From the timeI was a young child I always had a love for music, and all sorts of music. I remember as a child listening to Paul Simon, The Beatlesespecially the Yellow Submarine, and Lots of Zeppelin. My mother carried me in her womb to a zeppelin show in the 70's, lol I was born to rock! I have a assoc degree in computer science. I am tour junkie, my first musical loves, and what I mean by that is an artist or group that just grabbed me when I was old enough to truly understand, were Pearl Jam, The smashing Pumpkins, G Love, The Dave Matthews Band, Ben Harper, and of course widespread Panic. I have a love for classic and jam rock, the dead, the allmans, phish ect. I have seen DMB about 50 plus times in my life, one of my loves, no matter how many people tell me the fans suck or the band are sellouts, they are a kick ass band, and one of the better bands in the last 20 years or so. I cant help but still have love for them, for they helped change my life for the better. I am currently working in NYC as a computer consultant. I Live on Long Island again with my lovely lady whom I met through the DMB scene. I am part hippie, part hip hop, I guess I am a well rounded person who could sit in a room with anyone of any kind.I am a pretty big sports fan, Especially the Yankees (sorry Perry and G) I was raised to love the yanks from a small boy, Love toplay the drums, and ocassional guitar, I have an amazing music collection with over 3,000 albums and assorted live shows. My main love is going to concerts and dancing, it is where I am at my best..I dont know Im rambling. All I got is Love!!! Peace!Edited by: B-Love

Hello all!

My name is Cynthia. I am 22. Capricorn. I live in the DC suburbs. I don't post messages very often but I catch up on reading them every few weeks. I have always been the person with very few friends but the ones I have are very close. I am very close to my family especially my 3 older sisters who pretty much raised me. I started working at 15 and I have been going to college part time since I was 16. I am finally a senior but graduation is still a few years away. Currently I workat 2 different bars. It's probably not healthy for my growing alcoholism but hey it's more fun than sitting in an office right? I'vedabbled a little in the drug scene, a long time ago. But still love shrooms. Smoke a little too but a lot less than when I was datingmy ex of 3.5 years (bad influencesmileys/smiley2.gif). I am now single and can say I've gotten over my first lovehttp://209.41.161.96/forum/smileys/smiley28.gif. Traveling is my passion (GO TO BUDAPEST!) Ialso love music and animals, particularly dogs. I am a football fan(GO REDSKINS!) I love to play pool and poker. Oh yeah, and I love beer!

Im Dar 22 from Dublin. im a leo. Im studyin media production in 2nd year. Play bass bout 6 years in and out of bands dont get on wth drummers for some reason *shakes fist dramatically*. Work part time in a cinema cause its the most laid back easy job i could find. Heard of G. Love bout a year ago through listenin to Jack Johnson. On the big European tour they missed Ireland so tried to get to England and couldnt. still pissed bout that. Due to my geographical problems im always tryin to spread the word of G so as next time i wont have to leave the country. I listen to many kinds of stuff mainly older classic rock to coin a phrase like Zeppelin, Floyd, The stones, clearly lot more but take too long.

ok, so i'm bored and i got nothing else to do. i figure i can ramble on about my boring life. so, yeah i'm from jersey. it's not that bad. i know a lot of people rip on us, but hey, it's all good. right now i'm in the process of decieded what college i will be attending. i am down to two options...Quinnipiac University in conn and Ithaca college in NY. I'm going back up to Ithaca this coming weekend for one final look. honestly, i have no idea what i want to do there. i applied as a communication major figuring that it's such a big and broad major. i duuno. everyone says that you change majors like a 100 times anyway, so i'm not too worried. i'm a really big camp geek. i'm not going to lie. i think that being a camper and recently a counselor has really made me who i am today. i know it sounds corny, but i think its true. when i was a camper i got to spend 2 weeks w/o my parents. i could be myself around my peers. when i became a CIT (counselor in training) i spent even more time at camp w/o my folks and i was just happy, ya know? When i became a counselor i was there the whole summer. also, i was staff. i was making money and saw my parents not that much. anyway, i guess the point is i am so happy that i got involved in the whole camp thing. i think it has made me become idependant and gave me a tatse of life post moving out of mom and dads house. so, yeah, if any of you guys have little one's, ask them if they want to do the camp thing when they are old enough...

ok people....i've been lurking around here for a while and finally started posting a little while ago and the first person i got sassy with here was an administrator...(thanks for not kickin me off the forum b.! hehehe) no seriously, i'm 28, half american, half german living in the netherlands (somebody figure that one out!) i'm a midwife (for those less enlightened that means i deliver babies...). i only do homebirths: no hospital, no doc, just lil ole me. anyway, first heatd glass a while back but just couldn't get into it- i remember listeining to some of their music and thinking "huh? what is this shit??"...then i finally saw the light and am now a tried and true fan (am even goin to amsterdam all by my lonesome to see them...) am convinced that glass (like olives) is an acquired taste....it keeps getting better and better and better...

thanks for letting me ramble on.....

oh, and sorry to everybody- i am bound to step on some toes with my sarcasm...certified smartass over here....perry is my idol.

I am 22 and from Minneapolis. I graduated from college last may and am now a teacher. I am still unfortunately living at home, due to an outstanding amount of school loans!! I am single... again unfortunately. Good idea to start this topic Kelli, it is very interesting!

hey,

nice to meet y'all. I'm 17, from a little rainforesty town in Oz where no one locks their doors (mainly because we got nothing worth stealing). Just finished high school and starting a journolism degree, hopefully to oneday work for a music mag. Never got into the whole drugs, drinking smoking thing, i like to make my own fun, plus i'm a christian so that stuff doesn't really float my boat. Only been a G. Love fan for a few years, he's not very big in Oz, you even have to order in his CD's to get em, but it's worth it. Yeah, so, i like food and sleep and laughing. Thats me.

Yo,

my name's luke..... i'm from the greatest place in the uk: cornwall. 20
years old (21 on 27th april, uh oh). At uni in possibly one of the
worst places in england (portsmouth) studying *cough* physical
geography, which i'm doing coz hopefully i can just sit on the beach
all day for my dissertation. I totally love G.love can't wait till may
17th. Love the beach, love the guitar, and I just got back from spain
on a field trip which i now love even more as well. I have no idea what
else to say apart from people should rate electric mile higher in their
album favourites coz its bloody awesome. I to smoke weed and jam with
mates (i too was brought up as a christian, now i'm just impartially
undecided about the whole subject). My plan for the future?? who knows.
Basically, not live in england, get a little hut on a beach and go
fishing everyday in my hand made boat, come home to my lovely wife and
loads of other mildly unrealistic ideas none of which have come to
pass. off out now, cheers all ..........

Hey,

I'm Nic from Sydney, Australia am new to the whole forum thing so I thought I'd have a bit of a waffle! I'm 23 oops 24 just had a B'day and still can't get the head around the age change. Pretty unevetful early years was really into my sport, I used to swim competitively and also I have been in Surf Life Saving since I was 3 (the real life Baywatch sort of stuff smileys/smiley9.gif) dabbled in the drugs, e, smoke etc. nothing major but alcohol is my main poison (definately a JD girl!). Went to University for afew years didn't really like my course so went and got a boring office job as well as workin bar at night'sso I know how bad the hours can be! Decided to travel so did the West coast of the US (crazy, crazy place! can't wait to come back!!)& a season inBanff,Canadawhere I learn to snowboard and got soooo many bruises. back home to boring job and am just kickin it till I head back to US to jump on a cruise ship to do some bar work!!

I love pretty much all sports watching and playing, I even got into watching the WWE for a while on cable which was pretty funny. I'm pretty much into all types of music from Jack J to Green Day to Evanesance to Xavier Rudd, Marley, Zepplin, Powderfinger, Audioslave & of course Dylan. Just got intro'd to G Love so definately getting into him!

I have pretty much crapped on for a while so better actually do some work.

Have a good one!

Im Andrew, im 20 about to turn 21. Im from all over, I was born in Manhatten, NY and I got one older brother. My dad was a dentist in the Public Health Service assigned to the Coast Guard for 27 years so Ive moved around a lot. From NY, we moved to Ketchikan Alaska for a couple years, then Morehead City, NC for a couple more years. About'95 or '96 he got transferred toGalveston TXan we lived onthe southeast side of Houston about 3 miles from Nasa anGalveston Bayfor about 8 years. I graduated high school there after dealin with rocket scientists spoiled dweeb ass kids for far too long and now I amjunior at UNCChapel Hill. I love NC and I am really glad to be back. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the sunrise on theOuterbanks every mornin that I can. I used to bereally into runnin, mainly cause it was a way from gettin away from everybody.I almost ranincollege, but I am glad I didnt. Ive found I enjoy the solitude but not the stress of it. I just like to chill. I was on the crew team for a bit my freshman year but I quit cause I was tired of bein skinny. Used to sail and race small boats a lot on Galveston Bay, there isnt much to do in coastal TX. The surf sucks. These days I am really intorestoring old boats, I am just about to finish my grandfathers 1968 Boston Whaler. I like workin on old cars too,my dad has a 1929ford pickup he bought as a teenager and I like workin with him on that.Due to gas prices i had to sell my baby last summer, I had a '89 Jeep Grand Wagoneer that I spent about 2 years restoring and fixing up. It was one of the big old school ones with the woodgrain goin down the sides and its name wasPimpJuice.Music and surfing are two of my big passions now since I dont have a lot of spare scratch. I got introduced to G Love about 2 years ago and after seein the Hustle in a record store i really got into it an bought most of his older albums. My family's goofy ass black lab Jones, my girlfriend, and the NC coastline are I guess hobbys and interests too. Im pretty much a hippy when it comes to wetlands conservation, dont fuch with my beaches. Ive been datin the same girl off an on for a lil over a year an a half, shes a short little mexican thing with thedark eyesand I think we are probably gonna get married after we graduate.Right now im tryin to decide what Iwanna do whenI graduate. Im leaning towards doing either the Peace Corpsor a similar program for a few years. Id like to get out of the country for abit and work with people to get more of an international perspective.Livin in the US makes me feel ignorant these days. After the Peace Corps I think im gonna go into the Coast Guard for awhile. I probably wontever have to blow anything up, I getgrumpy when I cant see the water, andwhen I retire and want to screw around workin onold boats all day the thought ofcontinually getting paid is exciting to me. Figured I would bump this old thread back cause apparently all the newer ones sucksmileys/smiley17.gif

I'm Chyla and 28 (thirty is looking really frightenly close these days). I live in a teeny-weeny town in Washington state, about 45 minutes N or the Portland, Or area. I work in Portland at Costco, where I'm a supervisor. It's good money, and challenging somewhat in some ways, so I'm happy for now. I have an 18-mon. old who is the light of my life, his name is Zion. He should have been stillborn or severely retarded, in fact they sent us home from the hospital (he was in the NICU for a week) with the cheerful prognosis of him being moderately to severely disabled in all kinds of ways. He has brain damage. The really miraculous thing is that he has shown no affects whatsoever as of yet, the drs. can't figure it. Of course he may still show cognitive problems when he gets to the 3-5 yr range, but they most likely won't be severe. So someone somewhere is looking out for us.:) I'm now expecting our second, I'm reasonably sure it's a girl this time and her name will be Evelyn Aubrey.

I grew up in a tiny town in the Columbia River Gorge, only 1000 people, my school was k-12 and 250 kids. The HS was only 75. So I was BORED! School was easy for me, not bragging because it did me no good in the long run, my mom pushed me to excel and I pushed back by partying and slutting around. So I dropped out of college (too much weed) and focused on living. My mother didn't forgive me for wasting my "gifts" (supposedly I should have been a lawyer or something) until I redeemed myself by producing the first grandchild. I married at 21, divorced at 22, and now I'm with my mate and we have no plans to get hitched yet, which pisses off his part-time Mormon mother to no end. (Bonus!)

I'm a total bookworm, I love the outdoors, South Park, Reno 911, Family Guy, Mythbusters, Robot Chicken, Chappelle's Show, love eating all kinds of food. Got into GLaSS about 5 years ago when I got together with my man, but really freaked out over him the past year or so (I was in a Sublime obsession previously). I was just grateful to find a band I loved so much that had all the members still alive! I hate the Bush Cartel, hypocrisy (esp in re. to religion), reality TV and the current ignorant state of most of my countrymen. I also like to ramble, in case you can't tell!:) Oh, and I'm a Capricorn.

Sorry for the novel!

Howdy,

My name's Aaron and I'm from the land of humidity and slack-jawed
yokels, though it still manages to be the greatest state in the union (for me)...TEXAS.
I'm, as of now, around 24 and still seem unable to grow to the mature,
larger then life stature that my fellow statesmen seem to think we grow
to, I'm just a skrawny, absent minded, clumbsy dork who digs on James
Joyce, G. Love and the mild coastal waves that sweep in here from time
to time.

Pretty soon I'll be groove'in on the beach full time now that I'm more
or less packing up my stuff and heading there under the pretence of
higher education at a very small university. But hell, I just don't
know, I just want to chill out and have a good time, though that's hard
to do in the current political climate here in the Lone Star State, I'm
not a Bush supporter so that means many....MANY people shun and hiss at
me, but oh well.

I actually got in to G. Love when I mistakenly played "Rodeo Clowns"
several years back while working at a college radio station, basically,
three hours later I had every G.L.a.S.S. album out at the time and I
still constantly dig the vibes. Hopefully one day I'll get to see that
damn band live, something has always come up in the past though.

Peace.
