I was turned on to them by a friend, I caught them up at Summer Fest in Miwaukee in 2001, and it was an awesome experience. I have seen them twice in Chicago and in Indy once...
Not to many artists today that you can completely vibe too. It's more of a controlled release is how i like to descibe my experiece with G.L.A.S.S.
Since 1995 when 'Kiss and Tell' was played on the french rock radio and I've seen the band live in 1996,1998 and 2000 in Paris , France. Great souvenir.

I can remember the exact moment I first heard/saw G Love and the Sauce, it was way back on Conan O'Brien a long time ago when they were promoting the first album. They played "Blues Music" and I was instantly hooked.

I've been a fan of him since the 8th grade which would be... wow... 6 years now. Only recently have i turned some friends onto him. I tell ya it wasn't too hard. I just poppeda CD in whenever there was a player around at a party, let themusic flow... and all of a sudden... in two months time... I've got 7 people asking me who they were (cause they simply never heard of them). Four of them even went to one of his shows with me.smileys/smiley10.gif Edited by: Disastronaut

It blows my mind when I hear G.L.A.S.S on a commercial and have to explain who that crazy sound is, dats G.L.A.S.S you need them in your collection.

I first heard of G. Love in about 1998 or 99. The local Philly radio station plays Cold beverages every Friday at 5:00. Thats where I first heard of them, then sometime in 2000 I bought my first CD. all my friends know me as a GLaSS fanatic, and I got to see them for the first time this past summer. Can't get enough

I'm probably a bit older than a lot of G. Love fans. I was 33 when I first heard any of his music. Actually read a review of the first album (1994) in Rolling Stone and on a lark bought it. I loved it, even though it was contrary to a lot of the music I liked.
Then I went to an outdoor festival at the place called Mayo Island in Richmond, Va. at the urging of a friend who was about 7 years younger than me. G/ Love was the featured act.
It was a beautiful summer night and I rode my bike there (about 5 miles) and met some friends. I had a special buzz going smileys/smiley2.gifand G. Love was wearing a red tux coat and his hair was in almost a pompador.
Absolutely one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen. I was just blown away, not yelling and cheering blown away, but dancing and grooving and feeling great blown away.
Friends and I went to a great restuarant that night and I've seen them two other times since then and will continue if they ever get back to Richmond again.
I'm 42 with a child on the way and this kid will certainlyhear his/her share of G. Love. I was just reading a book and listening to "Yeah it's that Easy" and got onto this great forum to see if he was going to head to the east coast any time soon. Alas, I don't see it. http://www.philadelphonic.com/forum/smileys/smiley6.gif
Oh well, back to the headphones.
Peace to all...

I saw them on the Jon Stewart show, I don't know exactly when that was, but it was before my junior year in high school.
I was soo lucky that i could not sleep that night so I stayed up to watch the boob tube.

I first heard GLaSS back in '95 when they were on the H.O.R.D.E. Tour. It was the stop up in Maine. Only a couple days after Jerry Garcia died and they came out and broke into Friend of the Devil. Probably seen them about 10-15 times since then.

Ironically, my older sister turned me on to G-love when I was 16. It is ironic because she doesn't really like music. I am just lucky I guess. I have had the privilege of catching them in concert about 10 times. I just recently caught 3 shows in florida, and my boyfriend and I are celebrating our 2nd anniversary with a drive up to Charlotte for the 22nd show. and to think,I might never have found them, if it weren't for my sis who doesn't really care about anything.

I first heard g. love when I was about 18, and I'm 25 now. My husband turned me on to them, and I've been jamming to it ever since. I have been to a few shows, once while insanely huge due to the fact I was pregnant, but that did not stop me from going to the show. It just stopped me from fighting to get to the front right next to the stage. Now my 3 year old sits in the cr w/me and she sings along "love love love". it's too cute. but listen to me ramble, ramble, ramble, long live g.l.a.s.s. and lets hope true music never leaves us.

Partied with them a few times... love em! They are my favorite band... as a musician that takes a lot to impress me, but GLASS never stops amazing (grazin) me! Every new LP of EP proves to be better than the last! love em love em love em! Hope to do something special for em on the 18th when they come to Dallas, AGAIN!

It's amazing to think that such an incredible artist has been out for so long without me ever hearing about them. That's why these forums are so great...it gives me a chance to hear about new artists that I wouldn't be introduced to anywhere else. Man, I'm really feeling the love tonight! I've got posts out all over the place telling all the "phamily" (that still makes me smile) how great everyone is! Anyway, I first heard of G. Love last year-ish. My best friend is a HUGE fan...yet not on the forum, go figure. After the concert at the Gorge, I can't get G. Love out of my head! He's simply incredible. I'd like to think that I'm one of his biggest fans but reading the stuff in this forum it's easy to see that I'm not.
