I know andI'm sorry. I am sure there are heaps of threads spouting their appreciation for "The Hustle" but I couldn'treally find any that fit and went back to before August last year!

Anyway, I travel for about 1.5 hours to and from work everyday so good music is essential. I used to change my CD's all the time with Jack J. being a fav and a bit of Dylan etc. but for the last month or so, I'm a newbie, I have had nothin but Jack & G.

Luv it, Luv it, Luv it

No apology necessary. This is an open forum. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Although I like the Hustle, IMO it isn't theirbest body of work. The songs, to me, seemed much more structured and mainstream(vs. freestyle jams) than previous works. It is still more original than most artists put out their entire careers, but GLaSS has set their own bar so damn high, it is tough to clear it each time. Again IMO.

thanks for your thoughts and welcome. i agree about the hustle not being the best. its definitly great but it does sound more mainstream than the others.

Ya know ragmop, I have noticed that the last few times I have seen GLASS in concert. The shows seem more planned instead of the old school "go out and play." Also, in the last few years I have noticed aconsiderable amount of lessjamming and freestyling. Those are the parts of the shows I always looked forward to seeing. Let's hope those days arn't over!

Back In The Dayand Front Porch Loungin' are sweet, and are sold at shows and the website (careful!) along with a few others.

Commercial recommendations in order:

1. Their first, "G Love and Special Sauce" is one fine body of work (Baby's Got Sauce, This Ain't Livin', Cold Beverage, Blues Music, Garbage Man, etc)

2. Coast to Coast Motel is sweet (Sweet Sugar Mama, Small Fish, Leavin the City, Nancy, Soda Pop, Kiss and Tell, etc).

3. Yeah It's That Easy . . . ditto (Recipe, I-76, 200 Years, You Shall See, Slipped Away, Yeah It's that Easy, etc)

4. Philadelphonic . . . ditto (Gimme Some Lovin, $100 Dollar Bill, Rodeo Clowns, Dreamin', Numbers, Kick Drum, etc.)

5. Electric Mile(Parasite, Night of the Living Dead, Electric Mile, Sarah's Song, etc.)

Good luck finding them. I'm a buyer, not a burner. But I'd be happy to pick up some discs at a show this summer if I catch them. I'll front the cash, and you reimburse & take care of shipping. I'll PM you before I hit a gig.

Peace . . .

i have to agree with y'all...the hustle is more main stream, but i still love it. right now i am hooked on their one song, i don't now the name of it, but it's the last song on yeah, it's that easy. i jam out to it every morning when i get ready.(btw, does anyone know the mane of that song?)i think my favorite cd may be there first one, with cold beverage and babys got sauce.

i freakin love the hustle. a lot of folks say they don't like it as well. but i think it's near the top.g. love, jimi, and jeffare great musicians. they've proved themselves. but i think the hustle really puts g. love out there with the great song-writers. he was already one of my all time favorites. they've paid their dues and they deserve commercial success. smileys/smiley17.gif
