nice to meet you all
just have an amusing little story to share
my daughter who is 2 listens to g love quite a bit
the soundtrack of car rides
better than what I remember
(an 8 track of dr. hook in a station wagon)
somehow she equates booty call with a dog leash
or a tape measure
anything extendable
i don't know how
perhaps some subliminal association
from way back
kids always play with stuff not intended as a toy
anyway
we're in the grocery store
she demands
temper tantrum like

I WANT MY BOOTY CALL
oh the looks from the other moms
oh the trying not to looks from the other moms
they really are little sponges

My son is 5 and he loves the song Baby's Got Sauce and we'll be walking through Walmart or something and he will bust out into singing....."Coolin out coolin coolin out.....my baby's got sauce.....your baby ain't sweet like mine......" Its just so cute cause he just does it all on his own.....like you know how kids do certain things for attention and whatnot....but he'll just be singin to himself......Kids are awesome!!

they are too funny. my daughter is a big glass fan, she loves baby's got sauce and we always sing it together. she also loves few tracks off the hustle and cold beveradge. When she talks to people about g. love she always tells them how he loves to say baby, it is cute. When i ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she says she wants to be a great musician like g. love. she's my little lovebug.

My son picks up on the coolest things though.....I love it. His new thing now is to say that everything is "Sweet". He wants to be a skateboarder so bad....so while other parents are taking their kids on bike rides Rilan and I are on our skateboards and whenever he does something that he thinks is cool he'll say "Wasn't that sweet Mom? I can teach you if you want..." Its too cool. I just bought him this Bob Marley tshirt too that says B is for Bob and people will ask him if he knows who Bob Marley is and he will say...."Why would I wear this shirt if I didn't know."......Rock on my kid is no poser!!!

that is way too farking cute. i remember when my cy guy first heard baby's got sauce, thought g was singing about baby dinosaurs! ahaha he gets it right nowtho and does his napoleon dynamite-esque dance whenever he hears glass.

ha!!! my sister has a little boy, and his little friend was in the grocery store. his favorite snack is Pirate's Booty (health food snack) and they were in line checking out and he was having a fit screaming over and over:"I want Booty!!!" hahahahahhaahaaa!!!!!

OK this is probably one of the most embarrassing moments with my kid in the store......Ok....he was like 2 and super duper ultra into Power Rangers and he wanted the white power ranger and I wouldn't buy it for him so he started chanting "white power ranger, white power ranger, white power ranger......" I was so embarrassed because he would not stop and all these people are looking at me and I so wanted to justify myself to everyone. Ah, it so sucked........And for those of you wondering........No I did not give in and buy the little turd the Power Ranger........thank you, thank you...........

a few posts back livinisahustle was writing about a bob marley shirt she'd gotten for her son (I'm so techno challenged I couldn't figure out how to use the quote button, I tried times three)
Point is, I need to look for one of those, my daughter is named Marley after that great man- I need to start her education on the subject, the way things are going so far, I should've named her glass.

I haven't seen a small marley shirt, but at hot topic they have little kids sized rock tee shirts, I almost got my daughter a zepplin one it was too cute.

There's this killer store in the mall here and they have all sorts of shirts in kids sizes......they are mainly tie dyed Bob Marley and Grateful Dead shirts......a bit expensive though, but they are so cute. I drive a VW Jetta and I gotmy sonthis killer tie dyed shirt that says FUTURE VW DRIVER and I ordered him this shirt outta Rolling Stone that says THIS IS PROLLY MY AWESOMEST SHIRT. Its so cool cause that is totally how my kid talks....."awesomest"
