damn it, kids are the kick all greatest joy of all time.
if you don't have em yet, you'll just have to wait to really know. if you've never been in that kind of love where you'd unhesitatingly die to save another, kids will show it to you, like it or not. I just felt like bragging about how great they are, not anyone thing they do, but the whole shebang. moms always like a chance to talk about their babies. I guess this just came out of a perfect blue sky day, sprinkler, slip and slide, popsicles, finger painting in the backyard, and big sunscreen hugs. allover happy fuzzy day-- makes me think of my own carefree childhood days, and grateful for a good family that taught me by example. i love my Caleb and my Marley more than anything, even husbands have to take a back seat to that bond.

I totally agree with you , sway, of course. Having had my first and with the second on the way now, I'm totally stoked to be able to kick back and really enjoy this one without all the fuss and worry I had the first time. It was all worth it of course, but it's gonna be more fun now that I know just how much I should savor everything. And how cool is it that our job now is to create the kind of warm-n-fuzzy memories for our kids that we have from our childhood? I think that's the coolest thing ever. Of course, I've already learned that you can't set out to create those, when you try, it doesn't happen. It just comes on its own.

Wait until they're 13 like my son. Ugh! I'm embarassing, he's a smart mouth, and mom being around is VERY uncool. But I still bribe him with hugs and kisses when he wants money or something. HAHA. No - serioulsy - it is great to watch someone morph into a little you. It's just that now that he's older the pressure is on to make sure he succeeds and it's a scary world out there. Good luck with your little ones. It goes by VERY fast. Josh is going into 8th grade and I feel like I just walked him to kindergarten last year :(
