question bout the Houseman

the few live shows i've seen... i noticed houseman has something in his
mouth during part of the show--- a tube like....err- plastic straw/tube
thingy.



anybody clue me in? i honestly zoned out during one
of the shows & was convinced he was hittin a hidden
hooka.

Its an old jazz trick, when you blow into the tube the pitch on the bass drum (i think) gets higher. He wasn't smoking a hooka!

geez- i Know he wasn't...in my zoned condition- it made me crack

i know what you mean about things you write not come-n- out the way it sounds in your head maybe we should color code emotions like sarcasim could be blue sexual things could be purple, so on and so on . or ...... f **** that it's to much work, we seem to figure each other out
