B!

Good to hear you are settling in, Charlotte is a great town! 180 degrees different than NYC, but I bet you are liking the change of pace. Have they finished the loop/bypass around the city? I was there about 5 years ago and traffic was hell, but I know they were getting ready to start building a bypass.

Take care brotha and hurry back.

Thank u all...

Cleanface..Charlotte has changed A LOT in 5 years from what I gather..lots of new roads in and around the city..no traffic really..I am quite suprised that it is built up this much, but its a cool lil city..found this cool lil trendy/Hippie are in the city, its called NODA, lots of lil coffee shops, acoustic music..some bars..a cool lil music venue, I saw the Duo there, and Tim Reynolds solo, I think MMW are gonna be there soon too..its very cool..Bobcats have a brand new arena, its building up quick down here..good hearing from u brotha!

Rose..I like the slower pace...lol..the ground down here is peaceful..I will be dropping back more often, I missed u cats! Wheres Monica?

noda is alright, i'm going to mmw next week at the neighbordood. the thing about charlotte is there are lots of cool places but everything's so spread out and it makes it hard, especially when you're drinking. i try not to drink and drive too often. i stay downtown so a lot of the bars are pretty close. hey b you should check out smokey joe's and the double door. especially on monday nights at the door. ladies get in free before 11 and the best soul/funk band in the carolinas plays there, the monday night allstars.smokey joe's is more into the blues/jamband scene. they get a lot of up and comers you prolly never heard of. i'd say it's my favorite bar in charlotte. especially when it's nice out and you can go out on the deck. chill out on the swing with your girl, nice.

yeah the visulite is very cool, too. but it's more of a venue rather than a bar. but there's not a bad place to stand or sit inside. i got to see particle a few months ago there, awesome show.
