Hey people! I've recently finished
writing/recording/guitaring/bassing/singing/drum
machineing a little ditty about surfing. If you've got a
few minutes to down load the mp3, let me know
what you think.

Yo nice work man, not a bad tune. It's got a slight sublime flavor, maybe a little Jack Johnson influence on the intro. I like it.

DELTARIVERBLUES: Hey thanks! I'm a huge Jack
Johnson and Sublime (among many others...)fan. A
lot of people have said my stuff sounds like Jack.
Strangely, it's not on purpose. I've been writing
songs for the last 15 years, and songs from 10 years
ago have the same sound and feel. I think that's one
of the reasons I started really digging Jack, because
it has a similar sound to the stuff i write. thanks for
listening!
PEOPLE: Thanks for listening and responding! I'm
glad you dug it...Thanks!

I sure as hell can't figure it out. I'll be digging through
boxes of cocoa puffs until I find that decoder ring
though...

crack. Thanks for the kind words mumble-man. good

CORAL: I'm not knocking anything...just confused by
the mumble-jumble that came out of left field...dig?

Here's the first song I ever wrote. it mustv'e been somewhere there in For Donovan's little girl Azzy. Donovan's that hippie dude that plays in all the metal and cartoon bands. He's cool. It's called Wild Child
Come on little wild child are you high on fire like the sun reflected from my eyes why must we see only colors of the night. Oh, azzy won't you sing for me, Oh azzy won't youdance for me azzy look at what you've done for me hop scotch until the end for me. Come on little wild child it's your liberation I desire like the freedom in your truths and lies why is it the truth that I despise Oh, azzy won't you sing for me Oh, azzy won't you dance for me azzy look at what you've done for me hop scotch until the end for me nobody knows me nobody shows me nobody holds me not like you see you've seen me. Come on little wild child stand up for me when they inquire about the changes in my hindsight I hope we don't run out of time oh, azzy won't you sing for me oh, azzy wont you dance for me azzy look at what you've done for me hop scotch until the end for me nobody knows me nobody shows me nobody holds me not like you see you've seen me

digging some of my stuff. Thanks for listening!
CORAL: I like the words man, I'm more of a words with music
man myself though, so without hearing sung, I can't tell if I'm
digging the groove or not...got any link to a tune?
Thanks for listening people!

Coral, that was really good, I would love to hear music with it to see how it pans out, I saw Donovan in concert w/ jack Johnson about a month ago, first time I had ever heard of the dude, very, very awesome show. He is a great guitarist. Do you play?

yeah music to that song would be great but sadly only my ears will ever hear its fear
dalmation
01-14-2004, 08:55 PM
NO, not fear of rejection...fear of the unknown....haven't you ever read that infamous poem by Robert Frost. The road not Taken....Yeah, well I could never deal with that poem and all of its ambiguosness...two lifelong tracks choose one....I made up my mind to have a sneak peek at both even if I did have to tear myself in two what's a girl supposed to do specialy when she don't even know she's doing it... is that a strong mind....no when I'm a step ahead of myself that's when I know its someone else and all of my doubts get wiped out for the fear of the unknown.....that's why I feel so lucky even in my most difficult road.....and that's how I know its your fate that shines so bright in my wildly drawn landscape....how do you do that...I am a restless spirit and you pacify me, yes even just the thought of you in my view....like how the born agains take the body off the cross to try and bring it back to life.....but that's just an analogy

Yo! Folks...don't be afraid to start your own topic.
It appears that about %75 of the responses to THIS
topic have absolutely NOTHING to do with the
original topic.
melodylee

What's wrong with that?
robertt8
01-14-2004, 11:39 PM
nothing.
It's just that your posts are buried in a topic that has
nothing to do with what you're posting. Your replies
would (or should I say should) be much greater, and
focused to your topic if you were to start your own
topic.
dig?

Didn't you post this tune on the old forum?

hmmmm...quite possibly...I actually think that it might
have been one of my other tunes. The old format of
the old forum really sucked, and no one used it, so it
was kind of like posting to nothing. At least this way I
get to hear some thought on it. It's an excellent
question though... smileys/smiley2.gif
