Hey all, I went out and bought the disc today. I love it! I advise anyone who is into plain chill music to check it out! It's the perfect disc to drive to, work to, pretty much anything!

Yea, I plan on playing it for my classfull of Fourth Graders tomorrow!

My kids were totally digging it as they did their writer's workshop. They asked if it could be played during a social studies test. Only if they were good I told them! Yea, after someone wrote on someone else, multiple poking instances, a recess taken away from another teacher, and a swearing instance...I had to deny them the grooves.

They were not having a good day...tomorrow will be better.

I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but what I have I liked. It's happy like a picnic at the beach, or clean socks, or eating a popsicle-running through the sprinkler.
Plus, in the jungle gym song, they spoke to me. Who would have thought? Shalalalala that's pretty much my name, minus a few la-la's, and using the less common pronunciation, where the N is silent.Shala(n) Will wonders never cease? First Bob Marley on my asphalt, now this.

Okay only another teacher would appreciate the writers workshop comment.... That is when I play music as well. Actually I tend to play a lot of jack, just becausehe is so kid friendly.Today one of my students wrote a poem about Jack and how much I like him:) It was pretty funny... then one of my smart asses pulled a poem about kenny chesney out of his ass to piss me off. I told him he got an F for the day.

But the bad day must be going around, today was a horrible day for me as well. a melt down from a kid not even 5 minutes into the day started Thursday off great!! Now I am off to drink some winesmileys/smiley5.gif

It must be going around. My kids were off the wall again, luckily no big episodes. The crappiest thing is that I have 4 guided reading books to prepare by Tuesday. To break it down...32 lessons full w/ vocabulary, an activity, and guided reading questions. It's going to be one hell of a weekend!

I'm not complaining, I love my job! Well, not complaining too much.

ben, I've also been playing DMB's long jams for the kids. They really like that. Anything else I should try out on them?

well I had another kid have a melt down yesterday... that is two in two days and we are in 6th grade for god sake.Report cards are next week for us, so I have to get my shit together.

As for other music to play, my kids like Tristan andThe Beatles. I will have to try DMB.

So, is this disc good???

Is it like a new JJ album, or are the songs more geared towards kids???

Should I buy it for myself, or buy it for the neices and nephews on their B-Days???
