If you preorder the new ben double cd @benharper.netyou will get a 3rd disc included, which won't be in stores.

Got that email too. Haven't decided if I am going to pre-order or not. The third disc doesn't have any new songs, but some cool acoustic stuff, and live stuff. Hmmmmm...

im gonna order it, but only because it is ben harper. i havent really listned to any of his music in a while. his music makes me think too hard. lately i like music that doent take itself too seriously.

I am so excited for the new cd... but I think I am just going to buy it in stores. I just don't know about the whole pre-ordering thing.

Yea, same here. As entising as the preorder sounds, I think the best buy rewards card needs some points.

Gotcha...however, by new songs, I meant songs that are not already on Both Sides of the Gun. I was hoping the third disc would have some bonus B-sides that didn't appear on the album, but it doesn't.
Those five acoustic and redone songs are on the new album. So, you will hear and get the original studio takes even if you don't by the 3 disc set...you just wouldn't get those acoustic and bonus versions.
