He will be on a national tour this spring after his re-issued brushfire album Songs we Sing comes out on March 28th. Check him out if you haven't already. I am pumped he will be in MN the night before my last day of class for the year. And after today I am ready to be done with these 6th graders!!!

Saw him in Chicago last night. Small venue--150 peeps. Front row. Played "I Tried" on request. Scored the set list. MC cool enough to sign after. Chilled withafter. Great show One humble guy. Great voice. You will love him, ben04.


Warm up band was The 88 out of LA.Really good band. Okay, so they are on the OC soundtrack. But they were tight.

damn! i want to see ALO, but they aren't coming to georgia as of yet (which sucks because almost EVERYONE comes to georgia!) they are coming close, but i can't take anymore time off then because of b'roo and my husbands band playing!!smileys/smiley19.gif

yeah I saw ALO in the fall as well-- they were awesome!! Their tour right now doesn't look too extensive, but hopefully they will come near georgia soon!!

Thanks so much for the advice!!! How long did matt play for?? I am hoping to get their early to be upfront, but my kids have an ALL day field trip tomorrow. We won't get back to the school until about 5 ( I think I scared all of my kids too much so they won't be late for the bus.) Hopefully I will get to the venue a few minutes before doors open- otherwise I will just make my way to the front! ALO is opening for Matt tomorrow night. The actually had a show set up for the same night at a different venue, but apparently decided to so a show together instead, which made me very happy!

Well last night was a great show. We got into the venue an hour late and the opening act, ane brun (or something close to that) wasn't too good. I usually like the opener, but she was boring! ALO had a great set of all the songs from the album. They are just so entertaining! I am excited to see them again in July. Matt's set was of course wonderful, played all my favorites! We didn't stay after they show, so i didn't get to talk to matt- but good night all and all.
