Hey everybody:

I just got back from a recording session for the Donovan Frankenreider record. It was in Hawaii at Jack Johnson's Mango Tree studio. Jack also produced it. I definately got on a hot track called "what u know" and another called "rainbow tree". Now were going to LAto be in the movie "Cellular". Then home to make my new record.

What can I say? Live it up!

Peace,

G

I can't wait to hear it. I saw Donavan at the HOB Anaheim when we came to your show and thought he was great. It was great how you let the drummer use your guitar. I'm even more excited to hear GLASS's new stuff.

One love,

I think the original Dazz was recorded by a band called Brick.

You would be right, Rowbee. Brick is a great funk band from here in Atlanta, one of my fave bands of that time. Anyway, they had a hit with "Dazz" in 1976 so it's really great to see GlaSS bring it to light in this day in age for many who would never have known who Brick is.

I think one of the best covers I've heard them do was Donovan's Season of The Witch. I love the original but their version seems to groove so much more. Although I think Dr John's version is pretty special too. smileys/smiley2.gif

Alright G..that's awesome to hear. One of my favorite CD's you worked on with him was September Sessions. We need you to come back to the Philly area. I saw you perform a kick ass show in Bethlehem, PA, last May. Peace

We used to play Steppin' Stones in our funk covers set but it didn't go down that well, it's a shame cause we played it well - I guess when you're playing covers people want to know the tracks, I still want to play Dazz though.
