Has anyone read Ishmael or My Ishmael by Daniel Quinn?
I found them both really interesting. They're about how humans managed to screw up the world(since the agricultural revolution)and how the course can be changed.
It brings up many different things that we take for granted as truth, without really questioning why. Plus, the main character is a talking gorilla, what a hook , huh?
I really recommend them, even if you don't agree with all of it...it gets you thinking.

ok, went to two libraries today (the one in my town is depressingly small.) came home with ishmael, my ishmael, </span>and the story of b.</span> seeing as there is a terrific thunderstorm and ishmael </span>is only 266 pages, i'll be back to discuss in a day or 2.

I was like that for weeks after I read, spouting it to everyone, coming precariously to becoming an Ishmael Witnness, canvassing the neighborhood. I just know if people would listen to even a tenth of it...we could change the world .Seriously though, even if I only got you to read it, you'll get someone else to read it, that's how the grassroots change will occur, a snowball slowing gaining circumference, then faster, faster, bigger, bigger....
(i hope)
