Now that the album has leaked, what does everyone think about it? Personally, I love it. It's got a great mix of their funky stuff and slow stuff. If you all have liked the last few albums (Californication, By the Way) then you should definitely pick this one up.

SO, does anyone have it yet???

Of course, bought it the day it came out (last Tuesday)
I never thought I would say this, but I think it may be better than Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik. The thing I love about it is it feels so unforced and natural to me. They went into the studio to record a short and sweet 12-13 song album, and they ended up writing 38 songs and putting 28 on the album.
It is like they took Uplift Mofo Party Plan and Californication and smashed them together. Much much more funky and hard than By the Way, which was a very mellow album. Back to their roots in alot of way, but still very melodic.
I haven't stopped listening since I bought. Had all last week to sit on the beach with my headphones and absorb the entire thing. I find something new to appreciate every time I listen.

Mmmmmm...I see what you are saying Bo, and I agree somewhat. I think there are alot of great songs though, hell, half of the songs on the album could be hit singles, but I do see your point. I can still remember listening to BSSM when it first came out, before they had any singles out like 'Give it Away' or 'Under the Bridge', just listening to it for what is was. Raw, funky, beautiful, mind-blowing, and I have tried to get back to that feeling listening to Stadium Arcadium.
I have tried listening to the album imagining BSSM never existed, and have listened to it for it's merits on it's own, not comparing it to their old stuff. Focusing on this music, at this time, with a blank canvas for my feelings. If I do that andthen straight up compare it to BSSM, I think overall it is as good, maybe better.
It is hard to compare though because when BSSM came out there was nothing like it, and there had never been anything like it. IMO it is truly a groundbreaking/moment in time album, and I consider it to be one of the greatest albums ever recorded.
Stadium Arcadium is almost like a sum up of everything RHCP have done throughout their careers. It is the pinnacle of all of their muscial styles and all of their musical influences. I told my sister the other day that they should retire after this because it is almost like the sumation of everything they have done through all their albums, and there is no place for them to go after this.
It will be interesting to see what they do next. Maybe take some time off after their huge tours, maybe work on side projects, maybe do nothing musically, who knows. All I know right now is that I have the best thing I have heard since BSSM, and I am loving it immensely.

I think one thing that is great about the cd is the # of quality songs. They really have outdonethemselvesin that aspect. And yeshalf the cdcould be a hit single, but I dont think there is a under the bridge on the cd. There are a few that are close but no cigar. Maybe its just cause of the memories I have attached to BSSM...The good ol' days if u will lol..(Now i feel like im gettin old).
But thats my reasoning for choosing BSSM as a better album.. Because of things that it reminds me of when Ilisten too it.
SA has ALOT of good songs though, definately takes time to listen to the whole thing.
