This is a Canada Goose, when the winters get very cold and food is scarce, we rely on nature to help us through. We make goose stew out of the lame and stupid geese that did not migrate. We also make long underwear out of beaver pelts and the odd possum.Edited by: swaytosway

yeah we go all the time.
there are 4 main rivers surrounding this fertile farmland valley I live in. One is only a few minutes from my house, but it's pretty rocky and lots of dirtbikers/ATV'ers go there, we take the dog there to run around. The depth changes throughout the season. Just about every time you go they look different. They swell in the spring with the rain and the snow packs melting- very deep and fast. By the end of the summer they've receded a lot and there is more sandy spots and places that you can cross.
It's a beautiful place, within about an hour, you can reach 4 rivers, about 5 lakes, mountain trails, a ski hill....the liquor store is just around the corner, there's a grow op on every street (just kidding, sort of)

Man, I wish you lived a little closer, I'd take you up on it. As it is, I'm not sure she'd survive airmail and that's about all I can afford. She is cute, I love having a girl, but she's crafty as well. My mom used to always say that she hoped I'd one day have a daughter just like me, so I could experience first hand the trials and tribulations raising me. could be karma.

so the canadians went around the fork in the river and docked in
vancouver, washington for a few days this week [got here monday, left
this morning] and i went out last night to see if any of them had
listened while i was spouting off about mcmenamin's [great oregon beer]
during the tour yesterday morning. ran into a guy and we got talking
about how i got invited on the ship thursday night when they first got
into portland. trying to describe who it was and the guy i was sitting
with last night was like, "holy shit, that was my boss!"



somehow, out of a ship of nearly 200 sailors, i managed to keep to a
pretty tight group of them lmao, all of the ones i met thursday and
yesterday all knew each other in some way..

the hubby's been playing with hdr photography lately. it's pretty cool, you take the same picture 5 times at different settings and merge them together. it really allows you to play with the intensity of the image. here's an example of what he's doing. this is a view from our front yard.

Here's some pictures of my girl at the river the other day. The river has actually gone down quite a bit, so this was a huge mud puddle that had got cut off from the river. Kids can play in mud forever. The actual river is just beyond the caravan of trucks, fishing season you know. It's weird down there sometimes, all the different people driving big trucks, making fires, drinking Budweiser- reminds me of Mad Max. I think it'd be pretty interesting to go do a documentary, just wander around and talk to all the weirdos.
The last picture is an indepth expose on the sand indigenous to the Fraser River. riveting.

the next day was fun in the sun canoeing for about 15 miles downstream. "bikinis n' buff" baby! wild times, and unforgettable moments.

ha ha ha. This is true. I confess, in times of insecurity and adversity, I always default to my heaving Rubenesque bosom to get me by. I no longer know what I am really capabale of as I flaunt my chest before I even make an honest attempt at anything. I'm like Mary Catherine Gallagher (know her?SNL), she says, "when I'm nervous, I stick my fingers in my armpit, like this, and then I sniff them like this." It's a similar coping mechanism.

Anyway, you've pointed out my limited scope, thank you. I now step out of my comfort zone and offer you a gratuitous foot picture. Let's see how far that'll get me. imagine

this is my best scar that I'm showing off now. I got it by running on a pool deck and happened to fall at the exact spot where a tile was missing, thus an efficient grating action was achieved. Please share your best scars.

i've got scars all over my body lmao i was a very accident prone child.
my favorite is fading, tho :( i had a wicked looking smiley face on my chest.. kinda like this => only rotated to the right.

well take a picture, maybe not of your chest, but scars are interesting- I think.
On my knee, the flesh actually got scooped out to the bone because there isn't much knee flesh (usually-on a good knee) and the scooped out piece was just dangling off, still attached by a thread. The part that I most vividly remember is how that piece of flesh transformed itself in the time it took to get to the hospital. It shrivelled a bit, it darkened slowly and by the time the doctor saw me it looked like a piece of roast beef deli meat that had fallen out of a haphazard sandwich and clotted onto my gaping knee.

I was an accident prone kid too...except it's followed me to adulthood and now I have three scars on my left hand and one on my right hand, all basketball scratches from ugly fat bitches...looks like I took a knife to my hand...

those are sweet pants, sway. im a little behind and i noticed we were talking about scars. i have many, but there is one you all have seen in every single pic of my face(as long as im smiling). it looks like a dimple on the right cheek, but its really scarred muscle tissue from when my cheek met a window sill during a rousing game of indoor tag. dont play tag indoors, kids. and for fun, here is a pic of me and josh, the guy i was gushing about several weeks ago:
