so the hubby and i are sitting out on our back porch, talking about our day and enjoying the nice weather. i get up to go inside and find that the latch on our sliding glass door had fallen into the locked position. no amount of pulling and tugging was breaking that thing lose. i call my brother who lives around the corner and has a spare key. he is of course having to work overtime and can't leave work. i try his girlfriend, but her phone goes straight to voicemailsmileys/smiley7.gif.

we ended up being able to pry the screen off a window to our garage, which i then had to climb through (and bruise my butt in the process.)

guess we should have a spare key stashed somewhere outsidesmileys/smiley9.gif

haha i've done something simular. i went to take the boys for a walk
around the neighborhood and thought i had left the door unlocked.

newp.

i stood there wondering how the hell i was going to get back inside for
probably 10 minutes before i remembered the front window next to the
door was cracked open and the screen was easy to remove so i could
reach in and unlock the door. smileys/smiley16.gif

i wish this was the first time i'd done this, but alas, no such luck.

a few years ago before christmas i was at my dad's. went to get something out of my car (he was still at work) and left my keys inside. oops. ended up opening the massage pillow i'd gotten my husband and taking a nap in the backset of my car. just gotta roll with the punches.

i used to be able to break into our double storey house....our top bathroom window didn't ever lock...so i would climb up the piping on the side of the house and climb in the window...was quite the thrilling experience smileys/smiley2.gif
