Oh our ailing world. These links are about the troubles facing polar bears these days, they've got the global warming blues. Polar bears are drowning because the ice caps are melting and they often have to swim up to 60 miles for food. Now, polar bears are starting to eat one another for food, this goes against everything a healthy species should be. They kill for dominance, territory infringements, to keep the bear/food ratio in balance. But never in the code of animals do they eat their own species for food.
So just a reminder about the millions of drops of water in the puddle, even one minor change could exponentially make a huge difference if everyone did something.
-plant a tree
-recycle
-walk/ride for short trips
-carpool even 1 day a week
-buy foods with minimal packaging or made from recycled materials
-cloth bags at the grocery store
-compost
-install the new compact fluorescent bulbs as you replace the old incandescent
-educate someone else
Just some thoughts, I'm going to switch to reusable bags for shopping, that's my effort for this week.

we are recycling fiends here. we have more recycling than garbage each
week. i have TONS of plastic grocery bags that i'm always taking in to
be recycled, but i think i may have to make the investment
towards the cloth bags here soon.
it really is sad that things like this are starting to happen, but
everyone's so money hungry and in denial that they don't want to see
that WE'RE the ones most responsible for it. not to mention they're too
lazy now to do anything about it. i doubt we'll be able to
cancel/reverse what we've done, but we can at least slow down the
inevitable.

the worst part is that people don't see how easy it can be to change some of our ways to make a difference. especially educating someone else on the small things they can do everyday to help.

we are a recycle house too. I am going to have to start reusing bags at the grocery store, that is a great idea. It is so simple yet I am to brunt to think of it. rock on.

we use the cloth bags now...it's great (when I remember to bring em!). And all our clothing stores and things are using the cloth bags instead of plastic bags so you can reuse them too...
We're like you sauce...i even take my paper home to recycle it if i'm out somewhere...and bottles if i'm out and about...they go in the recycle at home too...
But yes, it's sad and if more people cared things could be done...it's a pitty not enough people care!
I'm well pro the recylcing movement! Anyone see the recent David Attenborough documentary on climate change? Was really interesting and pretty scary. People really need to start doing something. I.e. not "i'm gonna go drive my humvee to the supermarket and use about 700 bags to wrap up my vegetables and stop my cream from leaking, after which i shall drive my gas guzzling beast to the beach get drunk and throw all my bottles in the sea."
Where I live we have each house is given one massive bin which they chuck everything recylcable and everything else just goes in bags. So easy and they've got whole cities doing it.

So...what do you think now?
They did a great one on global warming too which highlighted all the dumbfuck environmentalists in the 1970's who were saying a NewIce Age was coming and would be here by 2000, who now talk about 'Global Warming.' It also has the founder of Greenpeace, who left after it was hijacked by politicos, talking about how de-forestation and vanishing rainforests, among other environmental hysteria type things, is well...Bullshit! Wanna see it?
