This is a bit of a read, but I found it really interesting. It's about nuclear waste they've elaborately stored under the desert. The containment system will last about 1000years, at which point they think it'll collapse inward, thereby imprisoning the radioactive shit. This crap will remain harmful for another 10,000 years at least. So the discussion is, how to transmit the danger of this area to future generations. A race that we may have less in common with than cave men.

most of the time i was reading it i was wondering if the benefits of nuclear energy are worth the waste and devisation it could leave.

but anyway. reading that it really seems to me that continuous education would be the best solution. but even if people know how dangerous the area is, there's always that one moron...
