Well here we go again.
I'm all set up here on the plane UA881 nonstop to Narita/Tokyo. This is my 17th trip to Japan. Who would’ve ever thunk it. Seems like yesterday I was busting it in Park Street Station in Boston. I'm over to Japan for a 6 day press junket. I will be on two magazine covers (see I actually get some love over there!) and I will do about 30 interviews. The food in Japan is amazing!
Hiro our record label liaison is an old friend and we are sure to work hard and play hard. I will be performing acoustic solo, doing a lot of performances for radio and TV. Hiro wants me to play Hot Cooking, Thanks and Praise and Don't Drop it. Japan is so hip that Don't Drop it was a single…the hip hop blues baby.
I'm drinking champagne. Life is fine. Play the blues save the world. Sushi anyone? C u soon.

So here I am rolling around rainy Tokyo on our 3rd of 5 press days. I'm headed to J Wave, Japan’s number one radio station. I will be performing "Rainbow" live acoustic on the air.
What a crazy place this is....yesterday I did a photo shoot for Safari magazine. I'm gonna be on the cover. Brad Pitt was on the cover this month…Far out. They had me wearing some crazy duds to man.
It’s all day long radio, interviews and photoshoots and I'm happy to do it. At night the record label takes us out for the bangingest Japanest cuisine, Sashimi, Sake and every kind of exotic dishes you can imagine. I've eaten raw everything, raw chicken (not a favorite), raw liver (better cooked), fish that are still wiggling and a whole lot more. As a rule if it was once alive the Japanese will eat it.
Well, its call time on J Wave. I gotta go jam.
Peace out!

Hey yall
Well here we go again another day in an airport. This is gonna be a long one! I'm in Chicago where we just laidover for one night on the way from Tokyo-Chicago-Philly-Amsterdam. And you thought being a bluesman was all caviar and champagne. The work is the travel--just to get to play. But its all good. Europe will be killer. Utrecht, Antwerp and Lisbon. Then home for a much needed rest till my new record LEMONADE drops. Get your glass ready and I will get my GLASS ready.
Its crazy, I've been writing nonstop. It seems like every time I get ready to drop a record my creativity goes off. Then I have to wait six months to record. Well if I'm still singin these songs six months later they're good. If not--well they get put on reserve...Regardless, the feeling of writing a song is the best. This morning two songs woke me out of bed one at 5:30am the other at 10:00.
All this travel has me spun out but the shows have been dope. Sick crowds on that last tour and the band is playing hot. So hot you're gonna definately need some lemonade.
