He uses Hohner Marine Band harmonicas (you can see one in the Hot Cookin' video). To complement that he sometimes uses a green bullet harmonica mic to give his live performance an old school feel, much like Little Walter and other old school harp players. He uses a Lee Oskar Harmonica rack which absolutely blow the hohner harp racks out of the water (I own both). He has a (I believe) mid 60's sunburst Gibson J-OO acoustic guitar. He has something written with a silver paint pen on the back of the guitar, but I can't tell you what. It is a really slick guitar. He has an array of electric guitars his main one being a Italia, or D'Italia possibly. He also has a few Gibson Les Paul's that he takes on the road with him. And, yes he does play a dobro guitar, which I believe to be an very old, very classic National brand guitar which aren't even made anymore. This is the guitar that is seen on the cover of the Hustle, Yeah its that Easy, and Coast to Coast Motel if I am not mistaken.

how dare you try to get this thread back on track! we highjacked it and you'll just have to deal with it!!smileys/smiley2.gifsmileys/smiley2.gif
my guess that the key varies from song to song.

G uses the basic C harmonica alot. Its a diatonic harmonica so it is really easy to play in any key for any song that uses mainly natural notes, not flat or sharp in any way. Waitin', Lovin' Me, Give It To You, are all played on the C harp. Booty Call I think is played on the G harmonica. Rainbow is on F harp I believe, it would probably be the best bet but C also works really well too. But you get the idea, he is a master harmonica player, and he can use about anything.
