time to man up

so i decided tonight that i have to stop being such a wuss. if i want to try to make it as an artist i've got to really step it up. enough time talking about building up my work. i need to try to get into some galleries. i live too close to atlanta which has amazing art galleries and areas.

so i might get bad reactions from some people. not everyone will like what i paint. i do. i just have to find my audience.

still, it's scary to put myself out there like that. i hopeful that if nothing else i can come in contact with someone who can give me a few pointers into entering the world of art outside my studio.

tink, you should do it! go for it, you have great talent. I do know how you feel, I have been feeling the same way about my writings. I could make at least two books of poetry, but who buys poetry? I also have a few stories in the works and I have been feeling like it isi time to make a move. So go for it and good luck your artwork is beautiful sweetie!

thanks:o . i've actually been researching galleries in atlanta. i found one that i'm hoping to talk to. they are really focused on emerging artists. just gotta buckle down and get my art resume together, some current slides, and a proposal. i'm on to divide and conquer of the tasks. right now i'm looking up the shows i've been in.

tink, i would have to say "forget the dream." just think, if you never take a chance, you'll never have to worry about rejection. you can relax and take solace in knowing that your ego and pride went unchallenged. which really is the way we all need to live--worried about the the opinions of others. it is enough that YOU know you've got the talent. plus, art is only for the artist--it never really was meant to inspire, comfort or move others.
