I saw G in Philly with his Lottery band a while ago. Personally I'm a fan of both the Houseman and this other guy Chuck Treece. I want to know if anyone has seen both of them play live with G and what they think? The Houseman is a pro, but this Chuck guy blew him away I think, he was just so tight and had so much energy! I would like to see a tour with him just to see how different it would be, I think it would be way more sweet. What do you think?

Having just seen Chuck play w/them the other night, he was very impressive. However, IMO I think that the Houseman, jimi, and g. fit better as a musical group. They have been jamming for so long together that they probably know what eachother are thinking in terms of playing a live show, and who is going to do something spontanious next, just by looking at them and not saying a word. Don't get me wrong, Chuck is a great drummer,he is more of a session guy I believe. just my opinion.

CHuck and HOuseman have different playing styles...Houseman's a jazz drummer (i.e. less is more) Him and Jimi are so tight that g, barely needs to play guitar most of the time because they back him up so well. Did anyone catch maroon 5 on SNL? they sounded terrible because they weren't backin up the vocals enough, and it's never a problem with G live....that's my opinion though, haha

do you think G hasn't made it BIG BIG time is because the houseman is so laid back? I think the energy is more suitable to blowing up with Chuck Treece. Just my opinion though. I'm not hating on the Houseman, he'skiller..just how I feel.
personally ithink GLaSS hasnt blown up yet becausethey havent had enough exposure andsupport fromtheir record company(hopefully this will change with brushfire), i dont think it has anything to do with the drummer at all. And by the way, houseman kicks ass. Edited by: mitz

The only opinion I haveis that the Housemanseems to havecaused alot of the drama that has gone onwith GLaSS through the years. Plus when I met the boys in Nashville, G. and especially Jimi were cool, and Houseman came off as an arrogantprick. Maybe I am biased, but I can take him or leave him, as long as Garrett Dutton is on the mic.

personally, I think its more about love than drums when it comes to being big.....peoples concept of love has flown out the window...and since this questionable love is something G stands for so adamantly of course there's bound to be confusion when it comes to deciding who's big and who's not...its all about who will the mass audience identify with now....a pimp yes...is g.love a pimp...stillI'm confused. I've never met Jimi but G and HM have both been nice to me biased or not.
