New one is coming out Oct 3, it's called 'the information'. The single 'nausea' is up on the myspace page. The cd cover looks pretty cool, it's like graph paper and then all the images are stickers so you can make it however you want. I like the way he thinks.

yeah I saw him for midnite vultures, sea change (when I was preggers-perfect timing for a slow fat lady), and last year for guero. He's fantastic and all his entourage, it's a good live show.

am downloading it as we speak. is anyone else annoyed with the fact that iTunes has a new version every f-ing month? i'm tired of downloading a new version so often, especially when each download is slower and takes longer. :(

actually I'm digging parts of it, some of it sounds alot the same, or maybe it's slow to warm. sometimes it's hard to tell at first, ya know?
I agree sway, only one color in this Cd, it's cold and a bit boring....a dissapointment for me.

Here's a Beck interview from the Onion(I didn't know he was a Scientologist, I won't hold it against him:) )

I think scientology is scary. Once when I was a wayward punk ass teenager, I somehow walked into a scientology center (herded might be a better word). They really tried a lot of different tactics to get me to stay. I'm suspicious of anything that has to try that hard, credibility speaks for itself.
lietuvaite, as sad as it makes me say to admit this, because I love my man Beck, you ain't missing much by not downloading it.

same here. it was creepy how hard they tried to sell you their book Dianeticsor to get you to stay. i even took a personality test of theirs haha. they also believe in some crazy ass shit, like the fact that an alien named Xenu brought millions of people to earth w/ a spaceship, put them all near volcanoes, blew them up, and their souls stuck to people that remained alive and now create chaos in the world (rolling stone article).
still trying to get my ipod to play the information. i've tried twice, and it's caused my ipod to freeze. don't know if its the file or the new version of itunes.

i've used the new version of itunes many times and had no problems. maybe it was a bad download to your ipod. i would try deleting it from the ipod and then putting it back on. if that doesn't work then maybe apple help will.

new one out July 8th. I got a good feeling about this one, I got hope.
Beck's new album Modern Guilt, produced with Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton, will be released July 8th on DGC Records in North America and July 7 on XL Recordings in the UK and Europe.
The new album contains 10 new songs, and with the exception of last year's Grammy-nominated, digital-only single "Timebomb", Modern Guilt is the first new material Beck has written since the prolific stretch that produced 2005's platinum Guero and 2006's universally acclaimed The Information.
Modern Guilt is a tightly assembled group of songs that range in lyrical tone from introspection and social commentary to off the cuff wordplay. Musically, the album's ten tracks vacillate between economy and experimentation, hybrid and pop classicism, while consistently manifesting Beck and Danger Mouse's shared interest in psych-rock, folk, electronic minimalism and orchestration.
here's a video for timebomb, cool video
