it's a new (i think. or maybe new to my area) wine that i found. i like the cabernet sauvgin...screw it. it's good. especially for a $10 bottle of wine. yes, i'm a cheap drunk. and it's gonna be one of those nights.

OH Tink, I meant to post this days ago...I was reading in my local paper magazine that's published once a month that there's a couple of australian companies making gluten free beer....so it'd be great for you!

i've always heard/read you don't have to spend more than $10 for good wine. enjoy!

this is true...my inlaws have a liquor store...and there are some FANTASTIC wines coming out of newer vineyards that are selling in the $8-10 range...I'll have to go hit up my brother in law for some of the names...:)

hope you had a good night Tink! I am a cheap drunk too... this is what 3 glasses of wine can do for me (lovely chardonnay / riesling blend- I'll have to get the name cause I can't remember)...

We've discovered clean skin stores here...they're MUCH cheaper ($3 a bottle of merlot) than the 'labeled' variety, however, it's kinda a pot luck with fruit quality...so far so good though...

one I have had recently was Smashed Grapes...it's really cheap $6.99 or so and it's not too bad...my BIL in coming for dinner tonight so I will get some other labels for you...

I haven't heard of clean label stores here- I will have to see what he knows of that as well...

ok got a few more...Twin Fin, Fish Eye (I only tried the Pinot Grigio and I liked it), some that aren't that new but I like them and they are in the price range- Fat Bastard, Coppala Bianco (the have red and white), Red Bicyclette. Also Newport Vineyards has some good wines- Great White is one of them that is cheap and quite nice.

My absolute favorite wine right now is Due Uve-Bertani, it's more like $13 but it is REALLY good...sauv. blanc and pinot grigio blend.

My research is not done...I will get more info :)

got a bottle of smoking loon tonight. loved when i pulled out the cork and it said whoot! on it. yeah, i know it's the call of the loon or whatever. my first thought was hell yeah whoot! i've been in a meeting all day! time to celebrate being home. well, that and the fact that tomorrow is my first day off in like 9 days or something. i've been home about 40 minutes and i've already killed half the bottle.:o
