ok, so through many pm's with rensul (thank you to my sounding board!;) ) this is what we came up with.
let's do a secret santa style book exchange. put a post in here giving a description of the type of books you like. then pm me your address. we'll leave the sign up open until october 21. i'll draw names for everyone and pm you who you get to send a book to as well as they're address. the deadline for getting books out would be november 4 (to give everyone time to decide and send.)
so who's in? i'm also open to suggestions.

I enjoy amost everything! except- romance novels...NO Danielle Steel / Nora Roberts stuff...hate that crap...
mysteries are good, enjoy historical pieces, getting into a bit of sci-fi- (Slowly and carefully), been reading alot of Carl Hiassen, Jodi Picoult, love the Harry Potter series, favorite author is Margret Atwood...guess that is a good enough start:)

i will pass on this for now, only because i'm too busy with work (i'm a bit embarrassed to say that i'm still trying to finish the Jody Picoult book i started in late August and it's a great book). maybe i'll join the next time around though...

I usually just go to the library. The books I really like I buy... I become sort of attached to those ones.

because i'm a dork i had to look it up. for the cheapest way it's only $7ish. of course, that's like 4-6 weeks shipping time they say.

how did i miss this thread?! i like books...mostly biograpgies of musicians and other assorted people..history books...and real serial killerlike books...morbid i know but thats what i like :) just wanted to share i know its too late for this exchange thing...which i dont quite understand either
