the general pic thread is getting huge. i thought a smaller thread dedicated just to halloween pics might be in order.

party safe this weekend, get pics, and post that shit y'all!

word.

i won't have any pics until the actual halloween, tho. gotta open both saturday and sunday this weekend so no room for playing at night [which means i have to miss a bouncing souls concert tonight, too] :(

this is my baby girl...she's got a little halloween soiree to attend today.
looks like she's pledging allegiance to the wiccans.

well I've got a lame ass costume, last minute deal. bought an afro wig and just adding my own clothes, enough to get in the door of party where you have to wear costumes. I tried to put on some stupid tinfoil eyelashes (the subconcious suggestion of Sauce). I got the glue in my eye. I put the eyelashes in the wrong spot, I guess, cause I couldn't open my eyes all the way. so I took them off, I knew they were nuts, shoulda trusted the intuition.

the eye all gluey

well, the party was allright. I got a picture ofmyself pretending to blow a skeleton.
the music was sort of a blast from the past.
By the end of it, after 4-6 tooo many hoots, I felt like gonzo enetering the lizard filled casino. I could no longer function properly in that world. I would need significant support, if not constant direction to survive. Then as we are to leave, we are persecuted with gossip and rumours that we had called someone 'the hired help' in an offensive manner. the mr. is sure he did not say it. I declared I had no idea, as I was far too high to remember that. After some sad, exasperated looks, we sneakied out the back. I love to party and this is surely why.

ha ha...good thing about skeletons is you can avoid the whole spit or swallow dilemma, no body fluids.

Hanging out with Mom at my sista's Halloween party. For the evening I was sporting the "Princess Leia Endor combat gear" according to my 5 year old.

so do you mind me asking how you handle halloween? does your diabetic son go trick or treating? i know in my celiac newsletters they talk about having candy to trade out when they get home. just curious.

Barefoot2Dream

Yup. We basically make him a deal that we'll trade him his bucket of candy for a good ol' $20 bill. We then put the candy up and let him have a little in moderation each day (which is what we should all do really). I could never imagine denying him the fun of trick or treating. Our motto is he's a child 1st and a diabetic 2nd. We never put the disease before him ever.:p
