Anybody else love watching the Food Network? I can pretty much watch it all day. Molto Mario, 30 Minute Meals, Boy Meets Grill with Bobby Flay, Good Eats, Iron Chef, Barefoot Contessa, Everyday Italian...etc., etc, etc..

Anyway, they have been playing G. Love's 'Hot Cooking' on a regular commercial they run. It is about a minute+ long and is a big collage of all the different shows and fast scenes from each with 'Hot Cookin' by G. Love in the corner while the song is playing over the commercial. Very cool, and good exposure...it is pretty long.

hmm, food channel...here we get a series on free to air, one show after the other after the other....my favourite is 'ready, steady, cook' which is where famous chefs from resteraunts cook with everyday people and they have 20 minutes to come up with as many dishes as they can with a selection of 5 things brought by the everyday person....

pretty good stuff....

ok, so here's a question....how can you know what to watch when there's SO much to choose from in the US?? There's like over 100 channels, right? So how can you have favourite shows when they're on all the time probably at the same time???

oh that made me laugh Duke...it's the american way huh? (and I include Canada in that excessive glutttonous way). A kazillion channels and there isn't much on. In that last few months, the only things I really watched was the news, maybe an investigative report, and some cooking shows (well, treehouse by proxy). In my opinion, it's mostly crap.
I think it's the same with the world perception that we have every wonderous material good for sale- if you want it, someone makes it- probably 67 variations. Again, in my opinion, most of it is still a lot of crap.
Sorry for the sidetrack, back to the food network.
