Bacon's getting so big!
I was looking at "baby" pictures of Nellie the other day...she was so cute-now she's a damn horse!!! Who likes to be a lap dog of course...it's ok cause I still love it:)
A friend of mine told me his brother has one more black lab pup left-I have been sooo tempted-so cute when they are small- I keep reminding myself that they get big...we really don't have any room for another dog:(

one of the girls i work with has a full grown black lab and they just got another puppy. she was telling me how she tried to walk her yesterday for the first time on a leash. aparently she was rolling along on her big ol' belly:p

ahh- that is so cute- Nellie did that too- she didn't get the leash thing...we had to drag her down steps too- she just wouldn't go down them...

sauce, looks like ya'll had a great time!

Thanks! I love the red and white together- Ryan was giving me crap about the white lights- but that's what I like & I didn't want to go buy anymore new ones
yeah she's still sniffing around- caught her trying to pull branches out too- not good! was thinking that's a great way for the tree to go down:eek:
she's also drinking the water from the basin:rolleyes:
Lights were on last night no fuse problem-so I think it was the timer...
tinkerlion

well hopefully no more problems. i got annoyed having to put the lights on two times this year.
i've got an extra strand now, trying to decide if i want to put them on the banister. last year it was snowflake garland that was left over from my little tree i used in college. it was part decoration, part cat toy.

over thanksgiving at my parents' house i was sitting in the kitchen, watching tv, doing crossword puzzles and holding the cat(while wearing this hat). at one point, my mom asked me if i wanted to meet up with them for dinner after their bible study, to which i replied "cant you see im very busy right now? why else would i be wearing this hat?" of course i still had dinner with them.

shaved and everything. is that a tatt on the inside of your right arm? why do i not seem to know anything about this?
ragmop
12-11-2006, 07:52 PM
the shaving was for halloween. chippendale butler outfit. had to tan and wax for it. yeah, i go all out, darlin'.
the tatt has been there for a while, stace. just a barb wire with shamrock vine intertwined. one shamrock for each child. it is perfect for me. i'm 100% mick--that'll never change. i have 3 angels, and with god's blessing i'll always have them with me. and if there is a future ms. rags in the picture, i can always add shamrocks to the vine.
see, i actually DO think before i act. haha

but the pic was about 2 weeks after the halloween party. aaaaaaanyway, since having it waxed, m'lady really likes, and i have to admit i seem to like it. soooooo . . . i had it done again.

sway:
"taint" = space between the unmentionables, as in "taint sack and taint a**hole" (on a man at least. i will let you figure out the female counterpart to "sack")
sway2sway
12-12-2006, 03:40 PM
oh, so it's not a penis, hopefully that wouldn't need too much waxing( ) but it does seem like a good name for it. "I'm going to taint you." "Beware of my tainter." -more of a verb definition. This taint you speak of sounds more like a descriptive noun definition. I believe we are discussing the perineum.

my cat is insane! she likes to get in the shower as soon as i get out and likes to get her paws wet, but mostly she sits on the ledge. Her other shower trick is I have to leave the faucet running just slightly because she likes to drink her water that way, she barely drinks out of a bowl and when she does, she spills it... like she knocks it over. she's a mess, but i just love her.

well, it's not fair to make fun of others without offering yourself up for crucifixtion as well, I think. My daughter took this picture of me this afternoon, wearing my 'new' dress that I just got at 50% off day at Value Village, that's $3.99, i especially like the big silver ring zipper pull. I bought my daughter some pink plaid pants, she chose a turquoise turtle neck to complement the outfit, and of course a barbie, this barbie has painted on glittery underwear, I suspect she is a thinly disguised stripper barbie. Every time we go shopping there, she gets a $2 barbie, she thinks the store is called barbie village...

It was funny cause I was reading in the paper about the Pickton trial, a very notorious murdering pig farmer, whose farm was about an hour from where I live...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Pickton and they showed this picture of some friend that tipped off the authroites enabling them to obtain a search warrent. oh my lord, this guy had his faded blue jeans hiked up to his rib cage and the biggest man camel toe I'd ever seen, looked like a curvy capital W, anyway I was informed there was a name for this, the moose claw...who knew?

haven't had to do that with 2 dogs in a while, but when we added a dog to the mix we mostly had to give the cats time to warm up to her. we also focused on giving everyone individual love time as well.
at the in-laws we try to get the two dogs to play at the same time. it's been a little bit of work (mostly because the interaction is about once a week.)
good luck duke, hope they start to get along real soon.

Good luck Duke!! Darling pup!!!
A few tips that helped us....feed the dogs on either side of a door, so that when they eat they smell each other, and associate that smell with food. Also, spray them both with your favorite fragrance, not too much, it's supposed to help.

this old dog/new dog thingy is SO tiring! So far, they're fine in the park together, and as I type they're both at the door wanting to come in (there's a chippie at our house so they're not allowed in), but when I took them for a run, the old dog, Houston, wouldn't let Euan get into the car. She growled and snarled and barked...I don't know!!

miss shark, I guess there are always reasons at the time why the children get born when they do, whatever fits at the time, each to her own situation n' all. I had my degree to do in between and I guess after that I just couldn't give up on the dream of having a girl named Marley. I love Go Dog Go. When I was little, I wanted to go to that dog party SO bad. It looked like the funnest thing ever.
Hey Duke, have I got a couple birth stories for you....heh heh heh, it involves placenta accreta and a man's arm up to the elbow , inside my hoo ha, peeling away the placenta that does not want to leave it's cushy home. I'll spare you the actual gory details. but once you are a mama, you'll know that it is hard to resist the urge to give the play by play, it's like a grandpa that won't shut up about his war wounds.

I agree sway, I never get tired of telling the story of the day my daughter was born. Duke, I was scared, hell terrified of the thought of giving birth, and as I looked to my friends for thier play by play I was dissapointed to learn all of them had c-sections! However, when the time finally arrives you are more then ready and prepared to handle the situation.
Also have to add that we too are fans of Go Dog Go! I have a great time changing up voices in the story and when we get to the end my little one loves to appoint everyone we know as a dog at the party. Rock on. One love.

Funny about the thing your niece is doing with her mouth. That was my niece's favorite silly camera pose about a year ago. Six must be the age for that.
I was cracking up like "where did you learn that, and why do you think it's funny?" but she thought she was hilarious.
Something about kids getting used to what they look like and then cracking up when they can alter that image and identity. It's like playing dress up. Ahh...to be young and goofy and just play all day long again. Who ever came up with the concept of money and working, huh? They suck!

i guess not with me lol that and it depends on the doctor/hospital and how scalpel happy they are.
the 3hrs of pushing really ended up being their fault, tho.. they had me laying down FLAT [which basically causes the vaginal canal to point upwards. add in gravity which pulls down, and yeah, pushing became one step forwards, two steps back.]
when i had asher, i asked to sit up during pushing and voila, i was able to push out a 10lb baby in 15 minutes [cyrus was only 8lb 9oz].

The first two were my cutie pie daughter, the third one is my shaggy haired son. This last one is me and I have to explain my surly expression a little; it sure wasn't for want of a beautiful sunshiney day. I was trying to get my daughter to put the strap of the camera on because I thought she was going to drop it in the sand. As well, a mama and her 1 year old and her 4 year old came and plunked down right within my wide personal perimeter. Now these next few facts, I try not to mention because I know they make me appear prejudiced, considering my lil' boobies and au natural facade, but so be it. This mama had a painfully obvious implanted chest, busting out of her tank top, fake & baked skin to a glorious bronze, probably shade #17 caramel cum, hoochie make up, etcetera, etcetera. But worse than all that was the low class, low intellect that seems so often to be coupled with all those first factors (see that's where the potential prejudice comes in).
Anyway she gets her 2 kids in this little inflatable boat, she starts pulling the rope, zig zagging them around, going "weeeee, weeeee". The 4 year old boy starts to cry, she says something like, " what are you doing, why are you crying, Marcus is such a pussy" Marcus is the 4 year old. Then to the kid's grandama, she just keeps going on and on about it, it's so crazy that a 1 year old would have more balls than a 4 year old, guess we know who'll be doing the peer pressuring later on, she just wants to get into everything, no he doesn't want to do that, no he doesn't want to go there. Then they're all getting into a big inflatable, which is quite a production and she finally yells, for the benefit of all the children all the beach ,"Sit the fuck down!!!!" (we're a happy family, we're a happy family)
anyway, rant, rant, but you know the things some kids have to grow up with, even if theyve got enough food in their bellys and a warm place to sleep, there is a lot of other shit out there for kids to make it through.
Miss Shark
05-19-2007, 08:03 PM
Looks like a funny day at the beach pretty mama. I don't think you look surly at all. I love how your daughter has all the dolphins lined up in a row. It's so cute when they do things like that.
Don't you wish people like that foul mouthed (and I'd like to add so much more but I won't) mother, could see themselves through someone elses eyes just once, or better yet through the eyes of their children.

05-19-2007, 08:57 PM
well thanks miss shark. my daughter is all about collections of things, sorting them, arranging them, moving them, could be bottlecaps or rocks for all she cares sometimes.
yeah I felt bad for those kids, learn what you live, huh?
the total absence of insight on her part makes me think too, what are the things I have no insight around? we all have them, things it takes time and experience to realize or change your perspective on-- though some people must get stuck. the way my life is going right now, I'd really be curious to have my insights from 10 years down the road, and have em' right now, but that ain't the way the game is played, now is it.

that makes me think of the football game i went to this morning. i'm haning out with my girlfriend watching her son play and there's a small child left totally unsperivised for at least 20 minutes. we kept an eye on her, but luckily the mother came back before we had to get her out of the trash can she was trying to climb in. that was just one of the several parents who really just paid no mind what so ever to very small children. then there was the douche yelling at his 3 year old to go away. according to my friend that's how he mostly deals with all 4 of his children.
it looks like the kids were having a good time sway. how old is your son?

I don't know if boys differ from girls in this way, bur our girls can sit rapt for ever listening to stories of what we did with them when they were babies.
