this is a good cd. my favorites are bam bam with shaggy and funky kingston with bootsy collins and the roots.
"lemme hear you say toots, roots, and boots."
pressure drop with eric clapton is real good too. I think this cd was a great idea.

I just found this video for the toots&shaggy bam bam. their voices are like chocolate&peanutbutter.

(do you think
if I get off my ass
and go mow the grass
my hangover will pass?)

to follow up on my hangover,
you know,
the grass cutting is working,
or maybe it's the sunshine.
I think some credit needs to be given to a delicious green salsa I found at the store the other day, approximately a cupful ingested, with some lime tortilla chips to shovel it in with. maybe it's just the salt.
(sooo goooD- tomatillos, onions, serrano peppers, corriander, salt)

Hencoop, I found the perfect spot for your Toots Story...

Aha, thank you sway...
So I went to see them play at a yacht club (hmf hmf in my best Judge Smails impersonation) for a charity event. I almost didn't go because I waited to long to buy the tix and then they were sold out! But I charmed my way in anyway :) It was a gorgeous September night out on the water (LI Sound) if a little chilly but the music was fantastic! A very fun evening but don't ask what the songlist was because I was 1/2 in the bag as you can see from the attached photos!
A hangover update... I spent the morning at a friends' house watching reruns of Oprah and eating an enormous turkey/mayo/tomato/fresh mozz (melted) sandwich and felt immensely better... and I haven't stopped eating since...pretty much the opposite of what my days are typically like. I can't remember the last time I sat on a couch or watched Oprah...over 3 kids ago certainly

Oh...this album...! Brings back some great memories and a big ol' smile on my face. :)
Finally saw Toots last year at Langerado, too. Good stuff.
