Well it sure is beautiful down here weather-wise. Miami is cool but it’s pretty trashy. Everyone seems to love the beach but no one seems to care for it very well. Lots of litterbugs! Lots of money and pretty girls but not too much class--definitely ghetto-fabulous!

They make a lot of hot music down here with many super producers like my old friend Scott Storch who is now based here. Did you know that the first international release that Scott Storch played on was "This Aint Living" from the self titled "G. Love and Special Sauce record? Crazy! I mean that dude has some serious serious big time hits under his belt.

So there's definitely a big hiphop/pop/latin music studio scene down here. There isn't much live music though. As a matter of fact, I've only gigged here once for the university. I don't even think there is a venue! It’s all good though. I've been practicing and writing and catching up on the myriad of song ideas I have in my book and blackberry. I've been running so much that I haven't had time to finish songs- but I have started many. I finally have time to skim the cream and seeing what I've got going on. Seeing which lyrical snippets scribbled on a newspaper or sung into my phone will actually become a song.

I'm also enjoying March Madness. Because my Cousin Rob isn't in the office we had no Philadelphonic pool this year. I did however, do one for my lawyer and have entered one contest online. I'm doing alright, not great…alright. A lot of upsets as always. What an amazing tournament.

Peace in the Middle East.

For the moment, I blame the spring breakers for the mess our beach is. Especially the glass bottles, glass and being barefoot just don't mix.
The locals beach (@ 3rdSt ) stays nicer because we police it more as our own backyard and clean up after ourselves. But even then, this time of the year, high tourist season, it catches up with ya.

As for the live music scene, it's sad but true. It's mostly just DJs and niteclubs and such. I go to Ft Laud to see live music, or smaller places like Tobacco Rd & Churchill's. Places it's be great to see GLaSS play at, but they've outgrown spots that small really.

I'm looking forward to hearing some new material. Young girls on the beach, and the muse of a new love...they definitely add fuel to the fire!
